II. Course Information
CATALOG DESCRIPTION: Functions with multi-variables, limit, continuity, derivative, compound
function derivatives, closed function derivatives, variate transformation and determinant of
functions, Vector analysis, Vector functions, directional derivation, Gradient, divergence, rotational
and applications, Maximum and minimum, double integrals, region transformations of double
integrals, region transformations of area, volume, barycenter.
COURSE PRECONDITIONS:
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: To equip the students with the knowledge of applied mathematics to the
such extent that they can understand the mathematical expressions taking place in their curriculum
and that they can analyze and interpret any engineering problem that they may face during their
professional life.
COURSE STRUCTURE: The class is given in Turkish and meets for three lectures a week.
