With a land area of 9.5 million square

Chinese people love gathering together to

paper, printing, gunpowder and porcelain
and were first to use silk. China has given
the world beautiful literature, painting and
architecture as well as the wise thoughts of
the philosophers Lao-tze and Confucius.
The arts were well-developed in China long
before Rome was founded. Many centuries
ago, Chinese medicine was making use of
preparations and techniques only just now
being discovered and acknowledged in the
West. It is no wonder then that most
people did not believe the reports of the
famous thirteenth-century Italian traveller,
Marco Polo, when he told of the Great Wall,
the fabulous architecture, impressive
inventions and other wonders he had seen
in China.
B) they have a large country.

architecture and inventions.
