Student Transport Card (İstanbulkart)
Istanbulkart is a contactless smart card for fare payment on public transport in
Istanbul. The Istanbulkart is valid for boarding buses, funiculars, subway, commuter
trains, ferryboats and trams operated by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
Cash payment on these transport systems is not possible.
Procedure to apply for a Student Transport Card:
1.
Get your documents ready and go to the application center in Karaköy.
The documents you need for the Student Transport Card are:
 Student Certificate (Turkish version)
 Passport
 Passport size photograph
 10 TL
Your Student Certficate shouldn’t exceed the time period of one (1) month.
Otherwise, you will need to apply for a new Student Certificate.
