- ‘Just Go Ahead’ ELT öğrencileri için hazırlanmış, iletişim temelli, 2 kitaptan oluşan
bir ‘İngilizce ders kitabı’ serisidir. İlk kitap 12 ünite ve 160 sayfadan oluşur.
- İki kitaplık seri, 2007 yılında hazırlanmış olup, Avrupa Konseyinin belirlediği CEF
(Common European Framework) standartlarına birebir uygundur. Serinin 1. kitabı
A1–A2 seviyesindedir. (Beginner-Elementary).
- ‘Just Go Ahead’ öğrenci merkezli, anlama ve uygulama becerilerini geliştirmeye
dayalı, konuşma ve iletişim temelli dil öğretme sistemini benimser.
- Her ünite çok bölümlü olarak, Listening, Reading, Grammar, Speaking, Vocabulary, Pronunciation ve Writing becerilerini işler. Bu bölümler ayrı ayrı işlenir; ama birbirlerini tamamlayacak yapıdadır. Verilen her bilgi ünite
sonunda bir bütün meydana getirir.
-Just Go Ahead 1’de yer alan ‘A SUMMER TO REMEMBER’ kitap boyunca bölüm bölüm verilen bir hikâyedir.

The spiral approach in teaching the grammar and
vocabulary in the first part of the series achieves a solid
basis for the second part of the series as an inductive
approach, in the second part of the course, helps the
learners to master the structures in English as they
cognitively work on the new language presented.
Global Mind kitapları Lise düzeyinde İngilizce öğrenen öğrenciler
için ders kitabı olarak hazırlanmıştır. Dört dil becerisini de
(dinleme, konuşma, okuma ve yazma) geliştirmeye yönelik
tasarlanmıştır:
Farklı öğrenme yetenekleri olan öğrenci gruplarında Global Mind
oldukça yardımcı bir materyaldir. Kitap, dilin temel öğelerini
yukarıda sayılan dört beceriyi de kullandırtarak verir. Böylece
yabancı dildeki yapıların günlük hayatta nasıl, ne şekillerde

Tourism
Tourism is travel for entertainment, leisure, or business
purposes. Tourists travel to and stay in places outside their usual
environment for leisure, business, and other purposes. Tourism
has become a popular global leisure activity. In 2010, there were
about one billion international tourist arrivals. International tourism
income grew to 990 billion dollars in 2010.

PRESENT SIMPLE
Robin and Michele are talking about unique personalities.
Robin: Did you meet that guy, Richard, at the party last night?
Michele: Oh my God, he was so egotistical. He kept talking about
how intelligent he was and how much money he made. He even said
he was thinking about becoming a professional model. Like that’s ever
going to happen!
Robin: And Brad, the artist from New York, he was rather eccentric! He told me he sculpts and paints
nothing but frogs. He even said he wanted to introduce a new line of frog jewelry. That’s a little odd.
Michele: He wasn’t strange at all. I thought he was very imaginative. You have to be really creative to
become such a successful artist. He was also incredibly sensitive - he almost started crying as he told me
about his art. By the way, look at the ring he gave me.
Robin: He gave you a frog ring? That’s the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen!
Michele: It is not! I think it’s really sophisticated. He said his jewelry is the latest trend among the New
York elite. Wasn’t that thoughtful of him to give me one of his creations?
Robin: Not really, I think he just wanted some free advertising.
Michele: My God, you are so cynical! Wasn’t there anybody you liked at the party?
Robin: Yeah, Bill was really nice. He was the only sensible, clear-thinking person I met there.
Michele: Oh, the waitress is coming. Have you decided what to order?
Robin: I’m not sure what to order. I just can’t decide what I want.
Michele: You’re so picky. Nothing is ever good enough for you.
Robin: That’s not true! I’m just a little indecisive.
Michele: Well, you need to decide soon so we can order. I’m starving!

Turkish equivalents
In case the definitions of the words in
a dictionary are at the proper level for
the learners, and the example sentences
support the definitions, the learners
will have chance to use the new words
properly. However, some learners can not
feel confident if they do not learn (perhaps
self-check) the Turkish equivalents of the
words. If the dictionary only offers some
of the Turkish equivalents along with
the definitions, the learners usually tend
to ignore the definitions in English and
look up only the Turkish equiva-lents. The
dictionary, then, loses its real function
and serves as a bilingual dictionary.
Considering the learner’s confidence
problem, The mirable Dictionary has
decided to offer the full translations of
the example sentences providing the
advantage of learning the word in context
rather than memorizing only the Turkish
equivalents.
