OBJECTIVES:
This Training Program aims;

Teaching the traditional Japanese Raku technique, which has a
distinct place in Ceramic Art by means of its materials (clay and
glaze), and stages of firing, by applications,

The artists to come together under this program to teach and share
their experiences with this technique, ensuring the international
exchange of information, submitting both theoretical and practical
training courses to participants by our institution experienced
teaching staff,

Provide participants to gain experience with the applications about
Raku technique who cannot find the opportunity to learn and
practice it, just as Students of Schools and Vocational High Schools
of Fine Arts , MAF and PHD programs, the teachers of
vocational
schools ceramic, and all people who wants to learn Ceramic within
the framework of lifelong education .

“5 different Raku Techniques which will be held simultaneously”

“Surface applications with Resist Decors in Raku Firing”

Workshops will be performed by Ceramics Department Academic
staff at Anadolu University Faculty and Invited artists
APPLICATIONS:

Raku Firing Techniques will be applied on the forms by participants.
(Five forms will be given by committee. Participants will be able to
purchase more forms) Participants are able to bring materials, tools,
glazes and
their
own
forms.
(Forms
which
are
brought by
participants will be fired by initiative of committee.)

Raku Applications will be exhibited at exhibition halls of Anadolu
University Fine Arts Faculty at the end of the program.

During the education program, a wall installation will be applied by
participants and invited artists.
WORKING AREA:
During the symposium, activities will be held in Anadolu University
Faculty of Fine Arts Ceramic Department.
Anadolu University Ceramic Department and the backyard park will be
used as the symposium space and necessary changes will be arranged
about this certain space.

PARTICIPATION FEE:
Registration fee is 750 TL
For Associate degree and Undergraduate Students, is 400 TL.
REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDES:

To attend lectures, applications and invited artists’ workshops

Poster presentations

Five forms which are bisque fired

Materials for firing (clay, glaze, coloring oxides)

Raku firing

Certificate of Attendance which states the names of lectures and
applications

Attendance to exhibition

Raku training and workshop CD

Bag (Scarf, uniforms, File, Pen, Eskisehir University and brochures,
etc.).

Lunch and evening meals

Coffee and tea service

Evening activities

Participation to award-wining competitions during the training
program

Travel ( If adequate participation is provided, a travel to İznik will be
arranged)
