B-2 EĞİTİM SİSTEMİ PROGRAMI İHALESİNİ L3 LINK KAZANDI
L-3 Communications, L-3 LINK Simülasyon
ve Eğitim Bölümü’nün ABD Hava Kuvvetleri
Komutanlığı B-2 Eğitim Sistemi programı
ana yüklenicisi olarak devam etmesi için
bugün 22.8 milyon ABD doları tutarında bir
kontrat imzaladığını açıkladı. Bir yıllık
başlangıca ilave olarak sekiz adet birer yıllık
opsiyonları ile program toplam tutarının 400
milyon ABD dolarının üstüne çıkacağı
tahmin ediliyor.
Wright-Patterson Hava Üssünde konuşlu
ABD Hv.K.K.lığı Aeronautical Systems
Center (ASC) tarafından sözleşmeye
bağlanan B-2 Eğitim Sistemi programı
kapsamında yüklenici lojistik desteği, uzun
dönemli yazılım desteği ve eğitim destek
merkezi faaliyetlerinin desteklenmesi işleri
yer alıyor. L-3 LINK ayrıca uçak bakım
sistem yazılımları, donanımları ve kurs
dokümantasyonu yanı sıra B-2 uçuş ekibi ve
bakım eğitim cihazlarına ait destek
faaliyetlerini de yürütecek. Akademik ve
sınıf eğitimlerini sağlarken 2017 yılına kadar
uçak platformu ile eğitim sistemlerinin
uygunluğunun sağlanmasından da sorumlu
olacak.

bakım ekiplerinin en üst düzeyde gerçekçi
bir eğitim seviyesine ulaşmasını sağlamak
üzere özel olarak en uygun konumu almış
olduğunu ‘’ ifade etti.
B-2 uçaklarına ait tüm uçuş ekibi ve bakım
eğitim cihazları, program Eğitim Sistem
Destek Merkezi de dahil olmak üzere
Montana eyaletindeki Whiteman Hava
Üssünde konuşlanmıştır. B-2 Eğitim Sistem
Destek Merkezi, Whiteman Hava Üsünde
bulunan 509 ncu Bombardıman Filosuna
bağlı 394 ncü Muharebe Eğitim Grubunun
faaliyetlerini desteklemektedir.
L-3 LINK’in Binghamton, New York ve
Arlington,Texas’ta yürütülen faaliyetleri B-2
uçuş ve bakım personelinin eğitiminde
kullanılan
sistemlerin
büyük
ölçekli
modifikasyonlar yaparak kabiliyetlerinin
arttırılmasına
yönelik
çalışmaları
gerçekleştirir.

L-3 Wins B-2 Training System Program
NEW YORK, May 11, 2009 – L-3
Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced
today that its Link Simulation & Training
division (Link) has been awarded a $22.8
million contract to continue as prime
contractor on the U.S. Air Force’s B-2
Training System program. In addition to the
initial one-year award, eight one-year
contract options could grow total program
value to over $400 million.

experienced B-2 team is uniquely positioned
to ensure aircrew and maintenance training
devices provide a maximum level of training

All B-2 aircrew and maintenance training
devices are located at Whiteman AFB, Mo.,
in addition to the program’s training system
support center. The B-2 Training System
supports the 394th Combat Training
Squadron, which is part of the 509th Bomb
Wing at Whiteman AFB.
The B-2 Training System contract awarded
by the Air Force's Aeronautical Systems
Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base
(AFB) calls for L-3 Link to provide contractor
logistics support, long-term software support
and operate the program’s training system
support center. L-3 Link will support all B-2
aircrew and maintenance training devices,
in addition to maintaining system software,
hardware and courseware. While providing
classroom and academic instruction, L-3
Link also will be responsible for follow-on
concurrency between the B-2 Training
System and B-2 platform through 2017.
L-3 Link’s operations in Binghamton, N.Y.
and Arlington, Texas also provide a full
range of capabilities to make major
modifications to the B-2 aircrew training and
maintenance training systems.
