L-3 WINS F-16 MISSION TRAINING CENTER PROGRAM
NEW YORK, January 23, 2009 – L-3 Link Simulation & Training (L-3 Link) announced today it
has been awarded a $68.2 million multiple year contract to develop the U.S. Air Force’s F-16
Mission Training Center (MTC) program. L-3 Link received the contract award from the
Aeronautical Systems Center’s Simulator Systems Group at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
The program includes options for the production, delivery and sustainment of up to 20 four-ship
F-16 MTCs at Air Force installations in the U.S., Europe and Pacific region. High fidelity F-16
MTC simulators, which will accurately model all of the fighter aircraft’s weapon systems and
ordnance, will be delivered in Block 40/42 and 50/52 configurations to support basic and
advanced pilot mission training, tactics validation and mission rehearsal.

the U.S. Air Force with a solution that will
maximize warfighters’ operational readiness.”
Each F-16 MTC installation will consist of four
high-fidelity training devices that are integrated
with a 360º visual display, robust synthetic
environment, instructor/operator station and
brief/debrief station. The simulators can be
operated individually or linked together to
provide four-ship training, both within the MTC
and the service’s Distributed Missions
Operations (DMO) network environment.
F-16 MTC simulators will be delivered with L-3 Link’s HD World® integrated simulation product
line designed for high performance platforms, which combines high definition databases, image
generation systems, physics-based processing technology and visual system displays to create

highly realistic and relevant training environments. HD World’s visual display component,
SimuSphere® HD, will provide each F-16 MTC training device with an immersive field-of-view
that can display out-the-window imagery at 20/40 visual acuity.
The U.S. Air Force has selected Link to supply the majority of its F-16 pilot training devices
since the 1970s, when the systems were first developed.
L-3 Link Simulation and Training is a systems integration organization that delivers and

F-16 GÖREV EĞİTİM MERKEZİ PROJESİ İÇİN ABD HV.K.K.LIĞI (USAF) L-3 LINK’İ SEÇTİ.
L3 Link, bugün ABD Hava Kuvvetleri Komutanlığı için F-16 Görev Eğitim Merkezi geliştirilmesini
hedefleyen uzun yıllara sarih (çok yıllık) F-16 Mission Training Center (F-16 MTC) projesi için
kendilerinin seçildiğini duyurdu. Kontratın mali boyutu hakkında şimdilik sadece 2008 yılına ait
bölümüne karşılık gelen 68.2 milyon ABD dolarlık kısmı duyuruldu.Çoklu yıllar bazında
gerçekleştirilecek programda toplam kontrat maliyetinin 1 milyar ABD dolarının üstünde
gerçekleşeceği tahmin ediliyor. Kontrata ilişkin değerlendirme ve seçme çalışmaları, ABD
Hv.K.K.lığı adına Wright-Patterson hava üssünde yerleşik Hava Sistemleri Komutanlığı (ASC)
tarafından yürütüldü.
Söz konusu proje, Amerika, Avrupa ve Pasifik bölgelerinde konuşlu ABD Hv.K.K.lığı üslerinde
sayıları 20’ye kadar yükselebilecek F-16 Görev Eğitim Merkezinin üretimi, teslimatı ve idameişletmesine ilişkin çeşitli seçenekleri içerecek. Üst düzey ses kalitesi özelliği ile üretilecek olan

gösterimsel simülasyon teknolojileri ile entegre
olacak şekilde F-16 savaş uçağı pilotları için harbe
hazırlık eğitimi dünyasının önemli ölçüde
geliştirilmesine yönelik olarak tasarlandığını
belirterek, L3 LINK F-16 MTC program ekibinin
Boeing ile ABD Hava Kuvvetlerine savaş
uçaklarının harekata hazırlık seviyesini en üst
düzeye çıkaracak bir çözümü sunacaklarını ifade
etti.Proje kapsamında Boeing iş payının yüzde 25 civarında olacağı öngörülürken projede LINK
ana yüklenici, Boeing ise alt yüklenici durumunda.
Her F-16 Görev Eğitim Merkezi, 360 derecelik gösterim, güçlü ve dayanıklı bir sentetik ortam,
eğitmen istasyonu ve brifing/debrifing istasyonu ile entegre edilmiş dört adet yüksek ses
kalitesine sahip eğitim cihazına sahip olacak. Simülatörler, hem Hv.K.leri dağıtık görev sistemi

ağ yapısı üzerinden hem de Görev Eğitim Merkezinin kendisinden tekil olarak veya dört uçaklık
paket halinde eğitim verecek şekilde birbirleri ile irtibatlı olarak kullanılabilecekler.
F-16 Görev Simülatörleri, arzu edilen eğitim ortamını son derece gerçekçi bir şekilde kullanıcıya
sunmak üzere, fiziki işlem teknolojisi ve görsel sistem gösterim araçlarına sahip görüntü üretme
sistemleri ile HD veri tabanlarinı birleştiren yüksek performans entegre simulator tasarımını
içeren L3 LINK HD World ile birlikte teslim edilecek. HD World’ün görsel gösterim bileşeni ve
Simusphere HD, her bir F-16 MTC cihazına kokpit dışındaki dünyaya ilişkin görüntüye ait
20/40’lık bir görsel keskinlik ve netlik sağlayacak.
ABD Hv.K.K.lığı, 1970’lerde sistemin ilk geliştirildiği günlerden bu yana
cihazlarının çoğunluğunu temin için LINK’i seçmiştir.
F-16 pilot eğitimi
