Cumbria Youth Offending Service (CYOS) works with 10-17
year old young offenders and victims of crime. Our primary
focus is to reduce youth crime in Cumbria by using
interventions that work to change behaviour. You will be
expected to make a significant contribution to the
development of services to young offenders, their families,
victims of crime and the local community and will have
responsibility for promoting access to education.
Applicants should possess a knowledge of education law and
other child centred legislation, experience of working in/with
schools, children and families and within an inter agency
framework. We require a skilled and enthusiastic practitioner
who will contribute to the assessment and management of a
complex caseload and who enjoys the challenge of working in
a multi-disciplinary setting.
Hours of work are 37 weekly, with the requirement to work
some evenings and weekends. A flexitime scheme is in
operation.

The teams are integrated Health and Social Services teams.We
focus upon working with individuals with severe and enduring
mental illness. Duties of the post will include assessing,
planning, implementing and evaluating care within Care
Coordinator guidelines and acting as a community care
coordinator.
In Eden we have introduced a crisis resolution and Home
Treatment service involving the extended Community Mental
Health Team.
The successful candidates will be strongly committed to ongoing service education and development. We are looking for
qualified social workers with at least two years post-qualifying
experience preferred to join these developing teams.
Preference will be given to Approved Social Workers though
applications from those with a minimum of two years postqualifying experience who are willing to undertake ASW
training are also welcomed.
You will be offered excellent training and supervision, good
partnership working with the NHS and other agencies,
experienced and supportive colleagues and opportunities to
develop new services and new ways of working under the
National Service Framework.
Assertive Outreach post and Eden post provide a 7 day

We are currently seeking to appoint two new members of staff
to this small but dedicated team to help the local disabled
community benefit from essential hydrotherapy services.
Pool Manager (Maternity Cover)
Salary £17,922 - £19,656 pro-rata (Subject to review)
22 Hours weekly, Temporary initially for 6 months. Are you
enthusiastic, experienced and a good team leader? Then you
have the qualities we need to develop the hydrotherapy pool's
full potential.
This is a popular and well-used facility for the disabled and all
who benefit from hydrotherapy. We require a part-time
Manager to develop procedures, to provide day-to-day
management and administration, and to manage the staff under
the direction of the Pool Advisory Committee. Experience of
the leisure industry would be advantageous.

Lifeguard
Salary £11,650
There is an opportunity for a professional and enthusiastic
person who is currently qualified to National Pool Lifeguard
standard to gain valuable experience in working in this unique
environment with a wide range of pool clients, each of whom
have specific needs for hydrotherapy services.
Pool Plant Operation and First-Aid qualifications are desirable
but not essential, and there will be opportunities for the
successful applicant to undertake on-going professional
development.
Working within a small team of dedicated personnel the
successful candidate will enjoy helping people with a wide
range of disabilities to maximise their potential.
The post is full time and will involve working Monday to Friday
on an alternate weekly shift basis. It is envisaged that the early
