Kadir Has University, which is celebrating
its 15th anniversary this year, is centrally
located at the historical heart of Istanbul
on the shores of the Golden Horn.
In addition to the quality education
we offer, we host number of major
international and national events yearly
in variety of fields and have established
a strong reputation as a center for
gatherings and conferences.
As the result of extensive restoration
work on the historical Cibali Tobacco
Factory, the Cibali Campus of the
university received the Europa Nostra
Award in 2003 as the “Best Restored
Historical Building.” Through a unique
blend of modern styling, historical
significance, and architectural allure,
experienced personnel, and a variety of
spaces, both open-air and enclosed.
With its experience and infrastructure,
the Kadir Has University Conference
Center has become a major international
conference center in Istanbul, and we
are pleased to offer its venues not just
for academic gatherings. But also for
cultural, artistic, political and sporting
events.

Kadir Has University is a prime example of
how historical buildings can be transformed
into state-of-the-art centers of education, art,
culture, and sports.
Centrally located in Istanbul, the Kadir Has
University Conference Center provides
the necessary infrastructure and technical
support for conferences, meetings, seminars,
workshops, exhibitions, and receptions for
organizations and corporations. Center’s
meeting rooms and halls are fully equipped
with the latest in technology, and has an
easily accessible location and campus-wide
internet.
The Cibali campus of Kadir Has University is
comprised of four blocks, and the first venue
you will see on entering the campus is the A
Block Atrium, which can accommodate 300
people standing, or 150 seated. It is an ideal
location for cocktails, exhibitions, and mini
concerts. Just to the left of the Atrium is the
newly refitted Galata Hall, which can seat
up to 124 people. Nearby is also the outdoor
Agora Amphitheatre, an ideal setting for
cocktails of up to 200 people.

Located next to the Kadir Has Memorial and
Exhibition Hall, the A Block Forum boasts
a high glass ceiling. The Forum, which was
originally designed as a space for exhibitions,
is also suitable for seated and standing
receptions, and has a capacity of 300.
At the entrance of B Block are the Cibali and
Fener Halls, which have capacities of 200
and 100, respectively. They share an indoor
atrium, which separates the two halls and is
a functional space in itself.
Just across from the atrium are the Zeyrek
and Balat Halls, ideal for small gatherings.
There is also the Haliç Hall, which is suitable
for roundtable gatherings of up to 50 people.
The Haliç Hall, also used as a dance studio, is a
cozy setting for dinner talks and workshops.
Hall 405 on the top floor of the same block
can seat up to 70 people, and was designed
particularly for workshops and training
programs.
Located in the area adjoining these halls,
the Pigastro Café offers an ideal setting
for breakfasts, lunches, coffee meetings,
and cocktails, and branches of Akbank and
Garanti Bank can also be found here.
At the entrance of D Block, which was
completed in 2007, you will first come across
an indoor atrium suitable for receptions of up
to 300 people. Located on the second floor
of the same block are the D Block Grand Hall,
with a capacity of 350, and Cinema Halls A
and B, which can seat 150 people each. These
halls are the perfect setting for inaugurations
and ceremonies, and can comfortably seat
large numbers of attendees. Nearby is the
university restaurant, which has a view
over the Golden Horn and can be used for
dining events and pre- and post-conference
cocktails.
C Block is the university’s center for the arts,
and this is where the C Block Hall is located.
The large area of this exhibition area is ideal
for seated and standing gatherings.
The Kadir Has Theater opened in 2012
under the auspices of the Faculty of Art and
Design’s Theater Department, and, with its
variable design and spatial arrangement as a
black box theater, can seat up to 70 people.

if you are interested in coordinating a stage
performance in the theater.
Located throughout the university are 36
classrooms with seating capacities from
28 to 126. These spaces, equipped with the
latest in technology, offer an ideal solution
for parallel panels.
During break time, Starbuck’s Cafe which
is located between Blocks A and D, offers
beverages and snacks, and access to wireless
internet as well.
The Selimpaşa Campus of Kadir Has
University, located on the shores of the
Marmara Sea, one hour from of Istanbul city
center, is an ideal location for gatherings
and corporate events with its tranquil
setting far from the bustle of the city. The
campus is spread over an area of 100,000
square meters, and with its outdoor
sports facilities, restaurant and café, Prof.
Erol Üçdal Hall (with a seating capacity of
130), and a large number of technologically
equipped classrooms, Selimpaşa can meet
all of your conference and meeting needs.

REZAN HAS MUSEUM
Rezan Has Müzesi’nin kültür ve sanat dünyasına girişi, 11. Uluslararası Doğu Halı Konferansı’nın açılış
sergisi olan “Zamansız Sadelik” ile 2007 Mayıs’ında gerçekleşmiştir. 2007 yılından bu yana aktif
müzecilik anlayışı doğrultusunda özgün sergiler ve kültürel etkinlikler düzenleyen Rezan Has Müzesi,
günümüzden yaklaşık 9.000 yıl öncesine tarihlenen arkeolojik eser koleksiyonunun yanı sıra 2009 yılında
Cibali Tütün Fabrikası’na ait belge ve objeleri bünyesine katarak koleksiyonunu zenginleştirirken, 17.
yüzyıla tarihlenen Osmanlı hamam yapısı ve 11. yüzyıl Bizans su sarnıcı ile geçmişi geleceğe bağlayan bir
müze mekandır.
Rezan Has Müzesi iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Neolitik dönemden Selçuklu dönemine kadar geniş bir
zaman dilimini kapsayan arkeolojik eser koleksiyonumuz müze katında yer alırken, çok amaçlı sergi
salonu katımızda ise, başta Türk Resim Sanatı konulu sergiler olmak üzere, tematik ve özgün sergiler
düzenlenmektedir.
The Rezan Has Museum’s debut in the world of art and culture took place with the exhibition “Timeless
Simplicity” in May of 2007, the opening event of the 11th International Conference on Oriental Carpets.
Since 2007 the museum has actively held exhibitions and cultural events, and its permanent collection
boasts artifacts dating as far back as 9,000 years. In 2009, the museum also acquired documents and
items from the Cibali Tobacco Factory, which through extensive restoration work was converted into
the main building of the Cibali campus of Kadir Has University. A testament to the conservation of
history, the museum space is accentuated with portions of an Ottoman hamam dating from the 17th
century and an 11th century Byzantine cistern.
There are two main section of the museum. The lower floor houses the archaeological collection, which
spans the Neolithic to the Seljuk eras, and the upper floor is a multi-purpose area used for thematic and
individual exhibitions with a particular focus on Turkish painting.

İstanbul’da açılan 14. üniversite olan Kadir Has Üniversitesi, kuruma özgü tasarımların satışa sunulduğu,
34-14 Khas mağazasını 2012 yılında açtı. Mağaza, Rezan Has Müzesi koleksiyonlarından esinlenerek
tasarlanan güncel kullanım objelerinin yanı sıra, aralarında Sanat ve Tasarım Fakültesi öğretim üyelerinin
de yer aldığı çeşitli sanatçıların özel tasarım koleksiyonlarını ve üniversitenin tarihi binasının silüetini
taşıyan kullanışlı, şık ve özel ürünleri Cibali’de İstanbulluların ilgisine sunuyor.
Kadir Has University, the fourteenth institution of higher education founded in Istanbul, opened its
university store, Khas 34-14, in 2012. The store, located at our Cibali campus, offers to visitors a variety
of items including works inspired by artifacts housed in the Rezan Has Museum, special collections
designed by instructors in our Faculty of Art and Design as well as other artists, and a line of quality,
stylish products bearing the silhouette of the university’s historical building.
