This Course targets students with no prior knowledge of the Turkish language and aims at gradually
introducing and developing all main four skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening through
situations and contexts of the daily life.

A1. Gradually introducing and developing all main four skills: reading, writing, speaking and
listening through situations and contexts of the daily life
A2. Use these skills and abilities in practice effectively
A3. Translate the words and phrases from Turkish
A4. Develop students’ abilities to read, understand, write in Turkish, translate the simple
sentences from Turkish to their native language and use these abilities in practise effectively.

21. Teaching Methods and Assignments:
Development of ILOs is promoted through the following teaching and learning methods:
Primarily communicative approach will be applied and encourage the students to speak. Group work,
role play, dictation will be done. Developing for skills will be the main concern.

Only the number of absences allowed by the university is accepted. Low attendance influences the participation
mark (An absent student cannot participate).
