Who is who
Delegation: RC Rijssen, Commission International Affairs:
• Mrs. Marianne Koebrugge-Mulder;

First contacts between RC Rijssen and RC Istanbul/Maslak:
• Via Mr. Wilco Tijhuis (RC Rijssen) and
Mrs. Dilek Ogan (RC Istanbul/Maslak), both invited by
RC Munich in Germany during a business-meeting in
October 2007;
• In the months thereafter, the first investigations for
possible future collaboration started.

Founded:
= 20th of March, 1955;
Members:
= ca. 55 members, age between ca. 40 and 85 years;
= an active mix of several professions/backgrounds;
= area covers a region of ca.15 kms around Rijssen
= enthousiastic and supportive in reaching goals of Rotary International.
Location:
= meetings in Restaurant ‘De Kemper’, in Markelo, The Netherlands;
= every Tuesday-evening, from 17.30-19.30 hrs.

2008-2008 Main Projects&GOALS
Organise District Conferance for 2010 ( May) 3 Days, for about 800 participants
including I.R. Visitors
Publish a book “ The Old Ships of the New Gate” This is for contribute the
celebration of Istanbul nominated as European Cultural Capital for the year 2010.
Total cost is 20K € to be invested by the Maslak Club resources and local
sponsors. This book will be distributed within I.R. and to several Rotary Clubs.
Contribute Turkish Rotary Project “DREAM TRAIN”
The Train is dedicated for Rotary 2420 district , will stop in 14 towns in the northwest region of Turkey, and visit 54 primary schools on the April 2009. Out of 5
wagons, one is transformed as an hospital, 2 wagons to be loaded with students
wearings and schools needs, education equipments, one is for meeting and the last
is for Rotarians medecine doctors, and organisation commitee ( Maslak Club is the
coordinator for District 2420)
Provide an Ultrasound equipment for SAMSUN HOSPITAL.
Project in process, equipment ready, project shared with a Rotary Club
“district 2440 Samsun -Turkey. ”
In order to finalise the financial aspect
Maslak Club is seeking for 2000 US $
Install a Medication Management System at a state Hospital “with 500 beds” in
Istanbul in order to make medication system simpler, safer, and more secure.
Main benefit is reduction of medication errors and improvement of health care.
This system will be implemented in four stages and each stages cost
is around 18 K €.
Maslak Club will initiate Matching Grants project and in search of
PARTNER CLUB for to fulfill this project.
