Industry-leading TIP THERMOMETER
Measure tip temperature quickly, with high accuracy
Industry-leading Tip Thermometer with superior stability
and responsiveness (PAT.P)
Corresponding to wide temperature range 0-700˚C, as is necessary
for soldering work. The tolerance stays in the range of ±0.5% of the
full scale. Tip temperature is measurable only 2–3 seconds with highly
accurate sensor. (Even extra-fine tips in about 5 seconds.) The good
solder-wettability, and the well-designed form, make for stable &
accurate readings of various tips. Easily user-replaceable sensor with
excellent workability & maintenance.
Peak-Hold Function
Retains display of the peak level of temperature change (unsetting
also available).
Auto-Power OFF function
Automatically powers off when no temperature change of 100
degrees or more is measured after device is switched on.
Economical long-life temperature sensor
Good for over 200 uses. An average use is roughly 3 seconds at
350˚C (662˚F).
Sensor-life Counter Alarm to Estimate Operating-life
High visibility with seven-segment display LED
Excellent LED lighting makes display easy to read, even in dark environments.

How to Change the Soldering Unit Tip
To remove the soldering unit tip, slide the lever in the direction of
the arrow. The tip will then protrude from the handpiece and can be

heated by the tip so the copper
pattern of the multi-layer board is
draining the temperature. Solder
wetting may also be poor.

With the new sensor integrated
into the heater (PAT.P) a 60W large
heat capacity allows faster temperature recovery during heavy
soldering, reducing the reaction
time even at lower temperature
settings. Stability even during
heavy soldering enables low temperature soldering and reduces
the risk of thermal shock to low capacity electrical parts.简
Easy to use
When using 2 sets of RX-701AS/711AS, they can be stacked on
top of each other to save space. The soldering uint is balanced to
assure comfortable operation and maintenance is easy with the
connector type replacement heater.
High insulation, highly reliable 24V output
The heater is completely separate from the input power by the
insulated transformer. This ensures that the operator is safe from
electrical shock and leakage current from the power source to the
tip. The insulation resistance between the tip and the power cord
plug is over 100MΩ (500V DC)
Leak voltage is greatly reduced by proper grounding
When plugged into a properly grounded outlet, both the grounded tip
and the ground plug ensure precision components are safe from damage caused by leak voltage.

Features
lDuring soldering the temperature remains stable. lThis unit allows a wide
range of soldering to be done from terminals and connectors to flat ICs.
This s e r vice station combin e s a d e sold e ring unit a nd a
temperature controlled soldering unit in one unit. A powerful
compact pump has a maximum vacuum suction of 600mm Hg
(representative value) that allows easy desoldering of single and
multi-layered PCBs. Both the desoldering unit and the soldering
unit temperature are controlled by the temperature control sensor
feedback system.
DESOLDERING UNIT
lBuilt-in powerful and compact twin pump. lWhen the trigger is pulled,
the heater is ON to boost temperature in order to compensate for reducing
nozzle temperature during desoldering. After the trigger is released, the
vacuum pump continues operating automatically for approximately 0.5 seconds reducing the chance of solder jamming in the nozzle.

Ceramic heater with integrated sensor
A ceramic heater with built-in sensor has been adopted. During
soldering the temperature will remain stable. The temperature will
recover quickly and there is excellent heat recovery power which
keeps the tip temperature stable.
The temperature can be set variably from 200˚ to 480˚C. This allows
a wide range of soldering to be done from terminals and connectors
to flat ICs.

The zero volt switch circuit has been adopted for the heater ON/OFF
control to assure a reduction in noise during the ON/OFF operation.

PURPOSE
If soldering is done on a PCB while the Tip Refresher still remains on the tip,
the Tip Refresher will stick to the PCB and it may corrode the PCB. Make sure
to completely remove all the Tip Refresher with the sponge on the soldering
iron stand before soldering.
