First activities in Turkey related with Forensic Sciences which have been done by me:
2001: The application of Y-STRs in Turkish Forensic Genetics Laboratories.
2002: ISO 9001-2000 certification at the Biology Department of The Council of Forensic Medicine (this
department was the first certified forensic laboratory at the nearest geography of Turkey, and the ISO certified first
unit of the Turkish Ministry of Law in 2002);
2004: The application of X-STRs in Turkish Forensic Genetics Laboratories.
2006: First and still the only Forensic scientist who has both Medical Biology and Forensic Medicine diploma
(There isn’t any specific forensic biology education neither in Turkey nor in the world).
2007: The establishment of Blood Pattern Analysis Laboratory in the Council of Forensic Medicine, Turkey
2009-2012: Triggering, following and terminating of the legislation procedures of many new psycho-active
substances such as m-CPP (meta-chlorophenylpiperasine), Syntethic Cannabinoids, and Cathinones in Turkey.
