Electrical connections
Power supply
To connect the power supply wires to the clamps 1 and 3 (2 ground) and tourn-on the
instrument. The display shows the software revision and successfully the instrument go in
measure and is ready to follow the normal functions.

Calibration
Connect the probe to the instrument and leave to flush water with 0 ppm of chlorine for
at least 5 minuts to stabilize the probe.
 Push CAL key. The red led ZERO flashing and shows the probe zero adjustment.
 Pushing UP and DOWN keys to adjust the display value since to show 0.00 ppm.
Therefore push key CAL to confirm.
 Flush water with ppm value known (DPD1 colorimetric test). The red led GAIN flashing
and shows the probe gain adjustment.
 Pushing UP and DOWN keys to adjust the display value since to show the value of
chlorine concentration. Therefore push key CAL to terminate calibration procedure.

If during calibration you don’t push any key for 60 seconds the instrument automatically
back in measure condition.
Set-Point adjustment
Set-point 1
 Push SET key, the corresponding green led flashing, the display shows the value
previously set (default 1.00 ppm). With UP and DOWN keys adjust the display value since
to obtain the desired value. Push key SET to confirm the value and to pass at the
hysteresys setting.
 The display shows the value previously set (default 0.1 ppm), through Up and DOWN
keys is possible to modify this parameter by steps of 0.1 ppm. Push SET key to confirm
the value and to pass at the delay time setting.
 The display shows the delay time value (seconds) to active or deactive the set-point
(default d00, 0 seconds). Through UP and DOWN keys it’s possible to modify the value
since to 99 seconds. Push SET key to confirm the value and pass to the Set-point 2.
Set point 2
 Finished the set-point 1 setting display shows the set-point 2 value previously set and
the green led 2 flashing. Following the same operation about the set-point 1 setting is
possible to modify the set-point 2 value, hysteresys and delay time. Push SET key to
confirm the value and back to the measure mode.
If during the set operations doesen’t push any keys for at least 60 seconds the instrument
automatically back in measure mode.

Functions
Through the activation / deactivation of the function is possible to change the statement
of the instrument for a best flexibility.
Active / Deactive instrument functions
 Push FUN key, the display shows F1 with the function state (d = Deactived, A =
Actived).
 Pushing UP or DOWN keys is possible to change the function state.
 To confirm choice push FUN key, if you changed the function state the instruments
memorized the choice and back in the measure mode, otherwise it pass to the succesfully
function, since to the function F8, therfore back in the measure mode.
If during the set operations doesen’t push any keys for at least 60 seconds the instrument
automatically back in measure mode.

Normally both the set point are set for a direct mode regulation, therefore the output relay
is actived when the measure is lower then the set-point value. To change this condition is
necessary to active the F1, about the set-point 1, and active the F2 for the set-point 2.

Hysteresys function creates a no-operation range around the set-point value. In this area
the relay doesn’t change the state (ex.: 0.5H creates a renge of 0.5 ppm).
If you active the function F3 (set-point 1) and F4 (set-point 2) both the set-point change
the functional mode in double threshold. In this way you create a window around the setpoint value. Example: set-point set on 1.00 ppm and hysteresys on 0.5H, in this way you
create a window between 0.50 and 1.50 ppm. Into this range the realy is in off, over this
range the relay is in on. Obviously is possible to reverse this condition changing the
parameters F1 and F2. This solution is useful if you need to create an alarm window.

With F6 deactived (default) the set-point 2 relay work ON/OFF and the 4-20 mA output
signal is proportional to the measure range (4 mA = 0 ppm; 20 mA = 10 ppm).
When F6 is actived the set-point relay work in proportional time/pause way and the 4-20
mA output signal is proportional to the set-point value. In this way the signal is 4 mA
when the measure in on the set-point value. Throgh the F2 function is possible to decide
the “direction” of 4-20 mA signal .
