LOVELY MUHAMMED (P.B.U.H)
WITH HIS GRANDFATHER
Muhammed (P.B.U.H) is six years old. He lives with
his mother, Âmine and with Ümmü Eymen.
Muhammed (P.B.U.H) is very sad that he is an
orphant boy and he has not got a father.
Âmine and her son Muhammed (P.B.U.H) decide to
visit their relatives in Medina, they also want to visit
his father’s grave where they will pray for him.
Ümmü Eymen also goes with them. Ümmü Eymen
is lovely Muhammed’s (P.B.U.H) maid and is always
with them. She is a very warm-hearted lady.
After all the preparations, they set off towards to
Medina. The city is far away and the weather is very
hot.

Although, the journey to Medina is long, they get there
safely. They stay with Âmine’s brothers for about three
months. Âmine’s brothers buy presents for Muhammed
(P.B.U.H) and they have a fantastic time together.
There are also Jewish people in Medina, they come
to see that pretty Muhammed (P.B.U.H) is a perfect
child and that he seems quite different from the other
children.

Âmine and Muhammed (P.B.U.H) decide to return
to Mecca. Âmine is afraid in case, the Jewish people
find out excellent Muhammed (P.B.U.H) is going to be a
prophet one day. She is anxious for his safety so they
pack and set off in hurry.
On their journey back to Mecca, Âmine gets very ill
and can hardly walk. Ümmü Eymen takes her to the
nearest village called Ebva.
She is so ill that she can’t take care of herself
anymore or even move. Muhammed (P.B.U.H) brings
his mother a glass of water and he prays for her with
tears.
Âmine looks into her son’s eyes in silence. She is
also in crying and says;
“Don’t worry my dear son, Allah knows everything.
Allah will always be with you.’’

These were her last words, while holding her son’s
hand she passes away on the journey back to Mecca.
Muhammed (P.B.U.H) is six years old. He does not
have a mother or a father. Except he is not alone, he
has got a guardian, “Allah’’.
Ümmü Eymen never leaves him; she takes care of
him and constantly gives him support.

Lovely Muhammed (P.B.U.H) has got an old
grandfather called Abdülmuttalip. He is the leader of
the Quaresh tribe and is a rich but old man.
Abdülmuttalip is one of the most respected people
in Mecca. He is a tall and strong man who has a soft
speaking tone and loves to help others. He is generous
and likes feeding the poor. He also likes children very
much, and gives them gifts.
When Âmine dies, Abdülmuttalip takes Muhammed
(P.B.U.H) under his wing and decides to look after him.

He has got his own special soft seat near Kaaba.
His friends often come together and chat around this
special seat. Other Kids are not allowed to sit on his
seat. But great Muhammed (P.B.U.H) is. When someone
interrupts him, his grandfather warns;
“Do not interrupt him, he is my dearest grandson
and always stays with me.’’.
From now on, Abdülmuttalip is Muhammed’s
(P.B.U.H) guardian, he protects and plays with him
just like he is a child too

One day, Hz. Abdülmuttalip asks excellent
Muhammed (P.B.U.H) to bring him his camel. Lovely
Muhammed (P.B.U.H) goes to bring the camel but the
camel runs away very fast.
Muhammed (P.B.U.H) runs after the camel and
tries to catch it. About twenty minutes later, lovely
Muhammed (P.B.U.H) manages to catch the camel.
In the meantime, Abdülmuttalip starts to look for
this grandson and is worried he has gone missing.
Abdülmuttalip is anxious and scared. He opens his
hands to the heaven in tears and prays;

“Ooh! My god, please give my grandson back.’’
A couple of minutes later little Muhammed (P.B.U.H)
comes back with the camel, he looks tired, but he is
happy and cheerful. Prettty Muhammed (P.B.U.H) says;
“Here is your camel, it ran away and took me long
time catch it.”
Abdülmuttalip is happy to see great Muhammed
(P.B.U.H) again. “From now on, I will never leave you
alone’’, says Abdülmuttalip.

Mecca is a city that usually does not get enough
rain and there are times of drought. This year Mecca
is going through a very bad drought. The people are
complaining and not happy.
Abdülmuttalip knows that, his grandson (P.B.U.H)
will be a prophet for the humanity and have a bright
future.
Hoping that his grandson’s (P.B.U.H) prays will be
answered, Abdülmuttalip takes lovely Muhammed
(P.B.U.H) to Kaaba and they sit down on his own
special seat and opens their hands out to the heavens
and starts to pray for rain.
As soon as georgerous Muhammed (P.B.U.H) starts
to pray, it begins to rain. It rains very heavily and all
the people start to sing songs and become very happy.
Days turns into nights and nights turns into days.
Time passes by very quickly for lovely Muhammed
(P.B.U.H) and for Abdülmuttalip who is getting older.

Abdülmuttalip gets very ill; he is not full of energy
anymore and finds it hard to do things by himself. He
calls all his sons for the last time and says to them;
“Look at this georgerous child, he is everything to
me. If I die, you will take care of him’’.
His sons are very sad and in tears. Abdülmuttalip
looks that his sons’ faces by for the last time and thinks,
“Who will look after my dear georgerous Muhammed
(P.B.U.H) after I die?’’

At first, Abdülmuttalip thinks about Abu Lehep, but
he is not kind and helpful enough.
Then, he thinks about Hamza but Hamza is only
fond of hunting. He then feels the right person is, Abu
Talip. He is the kindest. Abdülmuttalip decides he will
give Muhammed (P.B.U.H) to him. Abdülmuttalip asks
georgerous Muhammed (P.B.U.H);
“Who do you want to stay with after I pass away?’’
Lovely Muhammed (P.B.U.H) goes and sits down
next to Abu Talip. He hugs Abu Talip and kisses his
hands.
Abdülmuttalip is glad that he also makes the right
choice. His eyes fill with tears and he is convinced that
lovely Muhammed (P.B.U.H) will be safe.

As Abdülmuttalip kisses his grandson, he passes
away. Lovely Muhammed (P.B.U.H) cries for days
and is very upset. First he loses his mother, then his
grandfather.
Lovely Muhammed (P.B.U.H) is now eight years old
and starts a new life living with his uncle, Abu Talip.
What a lucky uncle he is!
