Aim:
Thepurpose of thisstudy is toexaminetheeffects of
plyometrictrainingswithweightvestappliedtovolleyballplayers on verticaljump,
legstrenghtandlegmusclehypertrophy.
Method:
Isparta Yıldız Sports
Clupvolleyballteamwerejoinedtothestudyvoluntarilywith 12 players.
Plyometricexerciseswereappliedtotheplayers in 8 week, 5 days a weekand 20
minuteseachdays’ training. Verticaljump, legstrenghtandcircumference of
quadricepsandcalftestsweredonetoplayers at thebeginnigandending of
trainingprocess. Handleddataswerecompared at SPSS 18 programmebyusing
“Paired t Test”. Findings: Players’ mean of agewas 16,41±0,51 year, mean of lenghtwas
178,83±6,97 cm. Andmean of weightwascalculated as 74,41±5,23
kg.Differenceswerefoundto be statisticallysignificiant at theresult of
verticaljump, legstrenghtandcircumference of quadricepsandcalftests(p<0,05).
Discussion-Result:
Whenweexaminetheliterature,
therearemanystudiesthatjustifyourresults. As a conclusion,
withknowingthebenefits of
plyometrictrainingsappliedvolleyballplayerstobiomotoricfeatures,
ourstudyoffersforesightsaboutdevelopingsomemotoricfeaturesandmusclestrengh
tbyusingweightvest in plyometrictrainings.
