The Independence Day of Istanbul
İngiltere BTEC Akreditasyon Sorumlusu Mr. Martin Green 6-8 Ekim 2015 tarihlerinde
okulumuza gerçekleştirdiği ziyaretinde, program uygulamaları hakkında detaylı bilgiyi
bölüm öğretmenlerimize aktardı. Ziyaretin sonunda Mr. Green öğretmenlerimize katılım
sertifikası takdim etti ve okulumuzun BTEC uluslar arası protokolünü onayladı.
BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) Accreditation Visit
Within the framework of the celebrations carried
out related to the Independence Day of Istanbul
on October 6, 2015 our students shared some
meaningful insight through the poems and
songs they performed.
Mr. Martin Green, the BTEC Accreditation Officer from UK visited our school on October 6 to October 8,
2015 and provided detailed information about the application of the programme for the teachers. At the
end of this visit, Mr. Green presented participation certificates to our teachers and our school’s BTEC
international protocol has been approved.

Asst. Professor Oktay Aydın came together with our teachers and parents at a seminar
held in our school on Saturday, October 10 and shared information about neurological

Animal Rights Day
Our preschool students brought their favorite animal toys to the school within the framework of the Animal Rights Day on October 4 and
carried out activities related to loving and caring animals.
TED Rönesans Koleji Öğrenenler Akademisi
TED Rönesans Koleji çalışanları ve öğretmenleri “Öğrenenler Akademisi”nde bir araya
geliyor. İngilizce veya Türkçe öğrenmek isteyen öğretmen ve çalışanlar için düzenlenen
kurslarda öğrencileri gibi öğretmenler de öğrenim hayatlarına devam ediyor.
TED Rönesans College - Learners’ Academy
The members of the staff of TED Rönesans College gather together at the Learners’ Academy. Teachers
and other members of staff attend courses that are being offered for those who would like to learn either
English or Turkish and continue to learn just like their students.
Sınıf Temsilcileri ve Öğrenci Birliği Seçimi
2015 - 2016 akademik yılı Öğrenci Birliği Oluşum Süreci 7-9 Ekim 2015 tarihlerinde sınıf
temsilcilerinin belirlenmesi ile başladı. Şubelerde yapılan oylama ile en yüksek sayıda oy alan
öğrenciler sınıf temsilcisi seçildi. 6 ve 7. Sınıf temsilcileri Öğrenci Birliği başkan adayı oldular.
Başkanlık seçimi için 14 Ekim 2015 Çarşamba günü ilkokul ve ortaokul öğrencilerimiz sandığa
gittiler. Yapılan oylama sonucu 7 - A Sınıfı öğrencisi Zeynep Hande Gök Öğrenci Birliği Başkanı,
6 - B sınıfı öğrencisi Naz Kaplan Öğrenci Birliği Başkan Yardımcısı olarak seçildi.
The Elections for the Class Representatives and the Student Council
The process of establishing a Student Council for the 2015- 2016 academic year started off by nominating the
class representatives from October 7 to October 9, 2015. The students who received the highest number of
votes in the classes were elected as class representatives. The representatives from Grades 6 and 7 became
presidency candidates for the Student Council. On Wednesday, October 14 primary and middle school
students cast their ballots for the presidency of the Student Council. According to the results of the election,
Zeynep Hande Gök from 7A was elected as the President of the Student Council and Naz Kaplan from 6B was
elected as the Vice- President of the Student Council.

On Tuesday, October 20 preschool students in the upper group visited the Children’s Library within the
Maltepe Municipality’s Türkan Saylan Cultural Center and had the chance to observe a different library
environment and raised their awareness regarding library culture.

İstanbul’a Fenerbahçe ile karşılaşmaları sebebiyle gelen Rönesans TED Ankara Kolejliler Basketbol
Takımı oyuncu ve yönetimi 12 Ekim 2015 Pazartesi günü okulumuzu ziyaret ettiler. Ertesi gün
gerçekleşen basketbol karşılaşmasına çalışan, öğrenci ve velilerimizle basketbol takımımıza destek
vermek üzere Ülker Sports Arena’daydık.
Rönesans TED Ankara Kolejliler Basketball Team’s Visit and the Basketball Game
The players and administration of Rönesans TED Ankara Kolejliler Basketball Team visited our school on Monday,
October 12, 2015 as they were in İstanbul to play against Fenerbahçe. The following day we, as the members of staff,
students, and parents, were all at the Ülker Sports Arena in order to support our basketball team during the game.

146 students who have joined the family of the Turkish Education Association this academic year as
students with full scholarship came together at the orientation programme in Ankara on Saturday,
October 10, 2015.

Öğrencilerimize Teslimi
Anasınıfı öğrencilerimiz, demokrasi bilincinin gelişimine destek olmak için programımızda
yer alan “seçim” etkinliğini gerçekleştirdi. Okulumuzun bahçesinde yer alan açık sınıfımız
için önerdikleri yeni isimleri, demokratik bir ortamda oyladılar ve sınıfımızın ismini belirlediler.
Sandıktan çıkan oylarla açık sınıfımızın yeni ismi “Renkli Çatı” oldu.

Choosing a Name for the Open Class of the Preschool
Our students in preschool called an election, which has been included in our programme in order to support
the activities to raise the awareness regarding democracy. Students proposed new names for the open
class in the school backyard and cast their ballots in a democratic environment and chose the name of
our class. According to the results of the election, the new name of the open class is now “Colorful Roof”.

Meeting
The 14th Principals’ Meeting, in which principals
from all TED Schools participate in order to enhance
the communication and cooperation among TED
Schools’ Principals, was hosted by TED Eskişehir
College from October 15 to October 18, 2015 and
our school principal Ms. İpek Ak also attended this

2015 Çarşamba günü Ataşehir Hayvan Barınağı’na
ziyaret gerçekleştirdi. Ziyaretlerinde, kuru ve yaş
mama bağışını ileten öğrencilerimiz gönüllü olarak
çalışan yetkililer tarafından barınak hakkında bilgi
edindiler. Genç Kalemler Yazı Kulübü ziyaretlerinin
ardından yayınlanacak dergilerinde, barınaktan
hayvan sahiplenmenin önemi ve hayvanları koruma
bilinci ile ilgili haberlerini kaleme alacaklar.
A Visit to the Animal Shelter in Ataşehir
Within the framework of the Animal Rights Day, which is celebrated on October 4, 2015, we, as a school, paid
a visit to the Animal Shelter in Ataşehir with teachers from the Community Service Committee and students
from the Young Pens Writing Club on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. Our students submitted their dry and wet
animal food donations during their visit and learned about the shelter from the volunteers working at the shelter.
The members of the Young Pens Writing Club will be publishing their essays on the importance of owning pets
from the shelter and the awareness regarding protecting animals in their magazines to be published soon.
TED Rönesans Koleji Öğrenci Birliği’nin İlk Toplantısı
2015 – 2016 akademik yılının ilk öğrenci birliği toplantısı 22 Ekim 2015 Perşembe günü tüm
sınıf temsilcilerinin katılımıyla gerçekleştirildi. Sınıf temsilcileri yıl içerisinde hayata geçirmeyi
planladıkları proje önerileri üzerine çalıştı.
The First Meeting of the Student Council
The first Student Council meeting of the 2015- 2016 academic year was held on Thursday, October 22,
2015. The class representatives worked on the proposals regarding the activities, which they plan to carry out
throughout the academic year.
