Dear parents,
On this page you will see the grammar subjects, vocabulary and the activities that
were covered so far. To support the learning process, the foreign teacher does
activity hours. So learning becomes enjoyable for the students. At the end of the
activity hour the students create a project of their own. The lessons are conducted in
accordance with the new system that contributes to thinking skills.

Creative Thinking Abilities
The students wrote a paragraph about their Sunday breakfast. Then, they drew a big
triangle and formed their food pyramids.
The students prepared a shopping list for the character they created. They described
the food and drinks that the characters ate and drank in a paragraph. Finally, the
students shared their ideas with their friends.
Story Telling
The students read the book, “I Looked Through My Window”. This big book was
about a dream. The students first listened to the teacher read the story out loud.
They asked and answered questions while they listened. Then the students came
up one by one to read the story for their peers.
Activity Hour
The students started reading the book “Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong
Trousers”. In this book, Wallace is an inventor. In the spirit of this, the students
designed their own invention but “Wallace Style”. For example, Wallace loves
cheese so some students made a machine invention for cheese.
Reading Hour
After finishing our “Character Scrapbook”, we made beautiful maps with three
important settings and described what happened in each place.
Then we prepared a poster for the story we were reading. We thought of a
tagline and wrote our own reviews for the story we read.
We recently finished our project called “Square a Story!”. We had a chance to
see the sequencing in the story and write 4 important parts in the story.
Next we will be working on “Emotional Character”. We will read our books and
find at least 4 places the main character feels something different. We will map it out
and describe why the character feels this way and add how we would feel in their
shoes.

Bu sayfamızda işlemiş olduğumuz dilbilgisi konularını, kelimeleri ve aktivitelerimizi
göreceksiniz. Öğrenimi kalıcı ve zevkli bir hale getirmek için yabancı öğretmenimiz
çeşitli aktiviteler yapar. Aktivite saatinin sonunda öğrenciler bir proje üretirler. İngilizce
derslerinde öğretim Düşünme Becerileri Sistemine göre yapıldığından aşamalı ve
sistematik bir biçimde uygulama yapılır.

AKTİVİTELER
Düşünme Becerileri Uygulama Etkinliği:
Öğrenciler okudukları hikâyeyi örnek alarak kendi pazar kahvaltılarını anlatan bir
paragraf yazdılar. Daha sonra yazdıkları paragrafta bahsedilen yiyecek ve içecekleri
kendi oluşturdukları besin şemasına yerleştirdiler. Hep birlikte hazırlanan besin
şemalarından bir pano oluşturdular.
Düşünme Becerileri Sentez Etkinliği:
Öğrenciler kendi karakterlerini yaratarak bu karakterin gün boyunca tükettiği yiyecek
ve içeceklerden oluşan bir alışveriş listesi oluşturdular. Daha sonra bu listeyi
kullanarak bir paragraf yazdılar. Her grup etkinliğin sonunda projesini diğer gruplarla
değiştirerek karakterlerin nasıl beslendiği hakkında yorumlarda bulundu.
Hikaye Anlatımı:
Hikâye anlatımı dersinde öğrenciler hayaller ile ilgili “I Looked Through My Window”
isimli bir kitap okudular. Hikâyeyi öğretmenlerinden dinlerken çeşitli sorular sorup
yanıtladılar ve sıra arkadaşlarına okumak üzere teker teker tahtaya kalktılar.
Aktivite Saati:
Öğrenciler “Wallace and Gromit: The Wrong Trousers ”isimli kitaplarını okumaya
başladılar. Kitapta adı geçen Wallace bir mucittir. Öğrenciler bu etkinlik saatinde
Wallace stilinde kendi buluşlarını yarattılar. Örneğin Wallace peyniri çok sevdiği için
bazı öğrenciler bir peynir makinesi yaptılar.
Okuma Saatleri:
“Character Scrapbook”umuzu bitirdikten sonra, üç önemli yer hakkında güzel
haritalar hazırladık ve bahsedilen yerlerde neler olduğunu anlattık.
Sonrasında, okuduğumuz hikâye hakkında bir poster hazırladık. Bir slogan
belirledik ve okuduğumuz kitap hakkındaki yorumlarımızı yazdık.
“Hikâyeyi Karele!” isimli projemizi bitirdik. Hikâyedeki olay sıralamasını görme
şansımız oldu. Hikâyede neler olduğuna dair 4 önemli bölümü yazdık.
Sonrasında yapacağımız proje “Duygusal Karakter” ismindedir. Okuyacağımız
kitaptaki ana karakterin farklı hissettiği 4 olaya bakacağız ve biz onun yerinde
olsaydık nasıl hissederdik diye düşüneceğiz.
