ODE MEMBRAN BUILDING INSULATION TS 11758-1 EN 13707 EN 13969 Polymer Bituminous Waterproofing Membranes ODE MEMBRAN SERIES Polymer modified bituminous membrane is a superior butimine which is obtained by processing bitume and polymers at high temperatures (through APP or SBS) in order to ameliorate the physical properties (transformation, softening and bending points, UV and fatigue) of bitumine. ODE OPAL PREMIUM (Cold flexibility value is -5°C) ODE Opal series of waterproofing membranes incorporates the properties of APP modified bitumine. It is manufactured in fiberglass and non-woven polyester felt carrier types. It provides affordable solutions for waterproofing details, especially for terrace and groundwork applications. Bitumen emulsion will increase the adhesion by stabilizing the dust and similar substances on the surface of adherence. • All membrane layers should be opened in the same direction. The transverse joint parts of the first layer of the membranes should be laid in an obfuscatory manner. The membranes should be applied by weatherboarding starting from the water outlets. • The longitudinal weatherboards of the insulation membrane should be at least 10 cm and the transverse weatherboards should be at least 15 cm. • ODE membrane and the floor should be heated together. In addition, fusion welding should be applied to the weatherboards. • When laying the second layer over the first one, the joint parts of the first layer should be centered longitudinally and transversely, and then heated and fully adhered . • In the applications of mineral coated ODE membranes, the membrane layers on the bottom and at the top at the transverse weatherboard parts should be heated with a welding torch and the joint should be adhered through of a float which helps to embed the minerals into the membrane. • In the wooden roof applications, in order to prevent the wood from the affects of fire, the bituminous membrane should be set on the wooden surfaces with wide tipped nails and the ODE Membrane should be adhered by heating. • If a previous application has to be renewed, the old application can remain as the bottom layer. The damaged areas and the blisters should be repaired. A coat (bitumen emulsion/solution) should be absolutely applied.
