Definition:
The Accessible City Regulations was devised in light of Article 9 of the UN Convention on the
Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Local government services and application geared toward
persons with disabilities will be based on the Accessible City Regulations. The Accessible City
Regulations was completed with the cooperation of pertinent institutions of 65 countries under
World Disability Foundation coordination.
Some examples of best practices in public buildings, local government and the private sector
(mall and hotel) completed according the Accessible CityRegulations will be presented.
The World Disability Foundation Universal Standard Certification (USTAD) and the World Disability
Union Accreditation System will be presented.

Definition:
The World Report on Perceptions of Disability was prepared in accordance and within the framework of
Article 8 of the UN Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
The WDF has initiated a global study of perceptions toward disability and persons with disabilities, aiming
to evaluate and improve perceptions of disabilities and persons with disabilities. The study will be realized
by organizations and institutions of 65 countries, in partnership with universities.
The proposed research methodology and outline will be presented at this side-event.
As theUN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities emphasizes the importance of raising
awareness, the WDF and the WDU aimto join forces with the United Nations and other relevant international
organizations to realize a comprehensive world report.

Propuesta de Reglamentación par las Ciudades Accesibles

La Reglamentación para las Ciudades Accesibles fue conceptuada en observancia al Artículo 9
de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas relacionada a los derechos de las personas con
discapacidades.
Los servicios y las aplicaciones de gobiernos locales destinados a las personas con discapacidades
se basarán en las Reglamentaciones para las Ciudades Accesibles. Instituciones competentes de
primer orden, en este ámbito, pertenecientes a 65 países promulgaron la Reglamentación para
las Ciudades Accesibles en coordinación con la World Disability Foundation.
Modelos de las mejores implementaciones en edificios públicos, gobiernos locales y el sector
privado (centros comerciales y hoteles) complementarán la presentación de la Reglamentación
para las Ciudades Accesibles.

Reporte mundial en las percepciones de las discapacidades – Sesión de trabajo

El Reporte mundial acerca de las percepciones de las personas con discapacidades fue preparado
en concordancia a lo que establece el Artículo 8 de la Convención de las Naciones Unidas
relacionada a los derechos de las personas con discapacidades.
La WDF lanzó un estudio mundial relacionado hacia las percepciones de las personas con
discapacidades con el objetivo de evaluar y mejorar las percepciones sobre las discapacidades,
dicho estudio será conducido por organizaciones e instituciones de 65 países, conjuntamente
con universidades.
La metodología propuesta para la investigación, así como los lineamientos generales, serán
presentados en este Programa Paralelo al Evento
Como uno de los mas importantes temas que serán expuestos en la Convención de las Naciones
Unidas para los Derechos de las Personas con discapacidades, es levantar la conciencia que la
WDF así como la WDU trabajan bajo el objetivo común de compartir espacios de mutua fortaleza
con todas aquellas organizaciones importantes, incluyendo la misma organización de las Naciones
Unidas.

Le Règlement des municipalités accessibles a été conçu à la lumière de l'article 9 de la Convention
des Nations Unies relative aux droits des personnes handicapées.
Les services et applications gouvernementaux locaux destinés aux personnes handicapées seront
basés sur le règlement des municipalités accessibles. Les institutions compétentes de 65 pays
ont promulgué ce règlement sous la coordination de la World Disability Foundation.
Des exemples de meilleures pratiques dans les bâtiments publics, des collectivités locales et le
secteur privé (centre commercial et hôtel) construites selon les règlements de la ville accessibles
seront présentés.

Rapport mondial sur les perceptions de l’handicap – session de travail

Le Rapport mondial sur les perceptions des personnes handicapées a été préparé conformément
et dans le cadre de l'article 8 de la Convention des Nations Unies sur les droits des personnes
handicapées.
Le WDF a lancé une étude globale de perceptions à l'égard d'invalidité et les personnes handicapées,
visant à évaluer et améliorer la perception du handicap et des personnes handicapées. L'étude
sera réalisée par des organisations et des institutions de 65 pays, en partenariat avec les universités.
La méthodologie de recherche proposée et les grandes lignes seront présentées lors de cette
manifestation parallèle.
Comme l'un des points les plus importants de la Convention des Nations Unies sur les droits des
personnes handicapées est la sensibilisation, la WDF et l’WDU visent à unir leurs forces avec
toutes les organisations internationales pertinentes, y compris l'Organisation des Nations Unies.
