ACCE 2.1 Enhancement Brief
Automation Change Control Expert (ACCE) is Arbiter Software’s flagship product providing
Workload Automation AE users the ability to manage changes throughout all AE
environments. ACCE provides the ability to control, enforce and track workload automation
requests without requiring substantial changes to business process. ACCE 2.1 has some
significant enhancements including a new documentation repository and vast
enhancements to our validation process which is the heart and soul of the product. This
document has been created to highlight these enhancements for our clients. The proposed
GA date for this release is May 2013.
New Enhancements for version 2.1:


Check and notify Reviewers if job documentation hasn't been provided for a new job
Check and notify Reviewers if they have dependencies of jobs outside of boxes by jobs within
another box
Check and notify Reviewers if there are Max Run alarms setup on jobs within a box
Check and notify Reviewers if there is a single job in a box
Check and notify Reviewers if there are start times setup on a job within a box
Cyclic Job Check. Have the tool check to see that a job isn't setup to run every so many minutes
(cyclic jobs).
Valid ID Check. To ensure the ID (owner) in the job definition actually exists, run a select against
AD to validate the user exists. (Will not work if they use local users). Does it exist and can it run
on the machines?
Dynamic Change Requests – Developers can determine their own path to
production

Option to auto-hold or on ice once a job is migrated
Mapping of job names from one environment to another
Job Documentation Repository
Approvals of requests via email or iphone/smart phones
