Mintaze Kerem Günel, PT, PhD, Prof
She graduated from Hacettepe University, School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in 1989. In
the same year, she began to work at Hacettepe University Hospital, Department of Physical Therapy
and Rehabilitation as a physiotherapist. She attended to Hacettepe University School of Physical
Therapy and Rehabilitation as a research assistant in 1993. She had her M.Sc. degree in 1994 her
Ph.D. degree with the thesis entitled “Effectiveness of Johnstone Pressure Splints in Children with
Spastic Cerebral Palsy”. She attended “Neurodevelopmental Therapy-NDT” , “Proprioceptif
Neuromuscular Facilitation-PNF” and “Kinesiotape in children” courses which are internationally
certificated.
She is currently working at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Health Sciences,
Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Cerebral Palsy and Neonatal Units.
Fields of Study: High risk infant, cerebral palsy, congenital torticollis, obstetric brachial plexus palsy,
spina bifida, body awareness training, psychosocial rehabilitation.
