Minor: Biology
CGPA: 4.00 / 4.00
2007 – 2013
Bachelor of Science:
Middle East Technical University / Ankara –TURKEY
Major: Mechanical Engineering
CGPA: 2.73 / 4.00
Minor*:
CGPA: 3.81 / 4.00
2004 – 2007
High School:
Çankaya Milli Piyango Anadolu Lisesi / Ankara – TURKEY
Average: 4.88/5.00
* Official minor application was not submitted during undergraduate studies; however, 8 courses from the
Department of Biological Sciences were taken officially, which is more than the minor requirements of the
department.
Previous Work/Academic Experience
08.2011 – 09.2011
Denmark Technical University Biomimetic Laboratory
Copenhagen, Denmark
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Torben Anker Lenau
Project Intern
Worked on several approaches on biomimetic, which is the
application of biological information in engineering science.
Tried to produce micro or even nano-layered structures,
using basic principles of chemistry and physics by
observing the layer production of mussel shells and jewel
beetles.
08.2010 – 09.2010
Carnegie Mellon University Nanorobotics Laboratory
Pittsburgh, PA / USA
Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Metin Sıttı
Project Intern
Worked on a robot called “Water Strider Robot” that moves
on the surface of water without sinking, by mimicking
Gerridae family. Optimizations were done, new body and
circuits were designed and built by me.
