Product Information
Pyrisma® M40-58 SW Ambercup Orange
Sophisticated appearance and excellent performance –
for a new generation of orange
Pyrisma® M40-58 SW Ambercup Orange is a Fe2O3 /TiO2 masstone orange
pigment based on an optimized mica fraction.
With its high chroma, the color clarity and the unique flop behavior
Pyrisma® M40-58 SW Ambercup Orange extends the styling possibilities especially
to create attractive and intensive orange, red, brown and copper color shades
with a sophisticated effect.
The state-of-the-art SW surface treatment of Pyrisma® M40-58 SW Ambercup
Orange guarantees excellent weathering performance and thus fulfils the complex
needs of modern coating systems and applications. This surface treatment is suitable
for all coating systems especially for those which require a good balance between
hydrophilic and hydrophobic behavior.
Special Features
High chroma
Clear color in the down flop
Excellent performance in outdoor applications
Dispersion
Dispersing the pigment is easy and can be achieved in liquid systems using
a dissolver, though it should be noted that circumferential speeds of 4 m/s
should not be exceeded. Three roll mills, bead mills or other machinery with high
shear f orces should not be used. Pre-wetting the pearl pigment with solvent is
recommended as a means of simplifying deagglomeration. For powder coatings the
pigment may be bonded or dry-blended with the binder.
Application
Pyrisma® M40-58 SW Ambercup Orange can be used in many outdoor and indoor
applications such as a utomotive coatings, plastic coatings, general industrial paints,
wood and leather finishes, dispersion paints and artist colors.
