First Machine in The Museum
‘‘We are so glad that this object, which is a very good example of the way in which consumer goods were designed in
the past in Turkey, has been donated to our museum. TOLON firm, which continues its commercial activities in ‹zmir,
started the manufacturing of this washing machine that was designed for house utilization just after the 2nd World War.
Boiler, centrifuge and covers of this machine were made of rustproof pure copper with the aim eliminating the risk of
abrasion.’’

‘‘Nous sommes extrêmement heureux que cet objet soit offert à notre musée, c’est un bel exemple qui nous montre
comment les biens de consommation étaient conçus en Turquie dans le passé. La société TOLON qui poursuit actuellement
ses activités commerciales à Izmir a commencé à Bursa la production de cette machine à laver conçue juste après la
deuxieme guerre mondiale pour l’usage ménager. Le tambour, le centrifuge et les couvercles de cette machine sont
fabriqués en cuivre inoxydable pour éviter tout risque d’abrasion.’’

‹lklerin markas› TOLON,
1937’den beri...
Dedelerimiz TOLON’u ‘ilklerin markas›’ yapmaya 1937’de Türkiye’nin ilk dokuma
tezgah›n› üreterek bafllam›fllard›r. Belki o zamanlar; Türkiye’de de sanayii
oldu¤unu dünyaya kan›tlarm›flças›na ard› ard›na gelen bulufllar›na 1940’l› y›llar
ve devam›nda; ilk santrifüjlü su pompas›n›, ithalat›n zor olmas› nedeni ile
kendi elektrik motoru da dahil olmak üzere tasarlanm›fl, Türkiye’nin ilk ev
tipi çamafl›r makinesini, ard›ndan Türkiye’nin ilk elektirik motorunu ülkemize
kazand›rm›fl ve ‘üretmek’ ruhunun bizlere nereden intikal etti¤ini
gösterebilmemize yard›mc› olmufllard›r.
De¤iflen zaman ve yaflam flartlar› ve büyük Bursa yang›n› ard›ndan TOLON
üretimine bir süre ara vermifltir. 1985 y›l›nda M. Dara TOLON taraf›ndan
Türkiye’nin ilk sanayii tipi tam otomatik çamafl›r y›kama ve s›kma makineleriyle
faaliyete tekrardan bafllayan firma, art›k dünya pazar›na da aç›lmaya
bafllam›flt›r.
fiimdi ise bizler, dedelerimizden bize kalan tek miras edindi¤imiz ‘üretebilmek
ruhu ve becerisi’ ile bugün Türkiye’nin 2. büyük liman kenti olan ‹zmir’de,
Organize Sanayii Bölgesinde yer alan fabrikam›zda, sizlere en iyi yapabildi¤imizi
iddia etti¤imiz ifli sunmaktan gurur duyuyoruz.
Verece¤iniz kararda sizleri hiçbir zaman yan›ltmamak ad›na, ald›¤›n›z her
makinenin arkas›nda bizim imzam›z oldu¤unu tekrar hat›rlatmak isteriz.

Brand of the Firsts, since 1937...
Our grandfathers has started to make TOLON the brand of the firsts in
1937 with the production of the first loom in Turkey. They were trying to
prove to the whole world the industrial capabilites of Turkey by their
innovations following each other and during the years of 1940s, they have
designed the first centrifugal water pump, first combine harvester, first
home type washing machine including it’s own electrical motor because
of the difficulties in imports and then the first electrical motor of Turkey
and they also helped us to show from where our ‘production’
soul is coming from.
As the years went by, many things have changed including the conditions
of living and after the big fire of Bursa Tolon company had to interrupt it’s
productions for some period of time. Starting from 1985, Turkey’s first
industrial type full automatic washing machine and mangle machine were
launched and this period was the re-start of the company by M. Dara
TOLON and now the company has already started to open itself to the
entire world markets.
And now today, with the only legacy of ‘production soul and skill’ from
our grandfathers, we are proud to present the best work we can do in
the Organized Industrial Zone in Turkey’s second biggest seaboard city,
‹zmir in our factory.
In the name of not to confuse you at any time for the decisions you will
make, we would like to remind you once again that we have our own
signatures in the back of every machine purchased from us by the
customers.

TOLON, la marque des
premiers depuis 1937...
Nos grands-parents ont commencé en 1937 de faire de Tolon la marque
des premiers en fabriquant le premier métier de tissage. Ils ont fait gagner
à notre pays la première pompe centrifuge, la première moissonneuse,
la première la première machine à laver de type ménager y compris son
propre moteur,con ue comme l'importation était difficile, puis le moteur
électrique à la suite de leurs inventions successives dans les années 1940
et suivantes comme s’ils voulaient, peut-être, prouver au monde que
l’industrie existe en Turquie à cette époque-là et ils nous ont aidé à
montrer d’où nous avons hérité l’esprit de ‘produire’.
La société TOLON a interrompu sa production pour une durée à la suite
du grand incendie de Bursa en raison des conditions de vie et d’époque
qui ont changé. La société qui a recommencé ses activités en 1985 avec
M. Dara TOLON en produisant les premiers lavelinge et les sèche-linges
entièrement automatiques de type industriel commence désormais à
s’ouvrir aux marchés mondiaux.
Tendis que nous, maintenant, avec ‘l’esprit et la compétence de pouvoir
produire’ qui est le seul héritage que nos grands- parents nous ont légué,
nous sommes fiers de vous présenter le meilleur travail que nous puissions
prétendre faire , dans notre fabrique situés dans la Zone Industrielle
Organisée d’Izmir qui est le 2 è grand port de la Turquie.

merkez servis olarak faliyet göstermeye bafllam›flt›r. Yap›lan
çal›flmalar sonucu, Türkiye genelinde hizmet veren yetkili
servisler uygulamas›na geçmifltir. ‹lk olarak fabrikam›zda
yap›lan, Tolon Sat›fl Sonras› Hizmetleri Müdürlü¤ü bugün
ki profesyonelli¤inin ilk ad›mlar›n› atm›flt›r. Zamanla çal›flma
alan›n› Türkiye geneline yayan birim, bugün; 5 bölge servis
müdürlü¤ü ve 37 farkl› ilde hizmet veren yetkili servisleriyle
ihtiyac›n›za en fazla 24 saatte cevap vermeyi teyid ediyor.
Our After-Sale Services directorate started its activities
as a central service in ‹zmir. As a result of the studies
undertaken, the application of authorized services that
served throughout Turkey was adapted. With the first
authorized service meeting that was held in our factory
Tolon After-Sale Services Directorate took the first steps
of professionalism. The unit, which spread its working area
throughout Turkey in time, guarantees to meet your
requirements with its authorized services that serve in 5
regional service directorates and 37 different provinces.
Notre Direction de Service Après-Vente a initié ses activités
la première fois à Izmir comme service central. A l’issue
des travaux effectués, on est passé à l’application des
services qui servent dans l’ensemble de la Turquie. La
Direction des Services Après-Vente de TOLON a fait ses
premiers pas de son professionnalisme d’aujourd’hui Avec
la première réunion des services agréés qui s’est tenue
dans notre usine . L’unité qui a répandu avec le temps
son domaine d’activité à l’ensemble de la Turquie confirme
aujourd’hui qu’elle répond à votre demande sous 24 h au
maximum, avec ses 5 directions régionales et ses services
agréés dans 37 départements différents.
Makinelerin ilk montaj›n› ve e¤itimini, yerinizde bedelsiz
olarak vermek, garanti süresince tüm üretim hatalar›n› size
hissettirmeden düzeltmek, garanti süresinden sonra da
makinenizin her zaman takip edildi¤ini göstermek ve
makinenizin yedek parçalar›n› 10 y›l süre ile size tedarik
edebilmek, sistemimizin size sa¤lad›¤› hizmetlerden sadece
birkaç›. Her geçen gün de¤iflen teknolojiye ayak uyduran Tolon
Makine’nin servis ve sat›fl sonras› hizmet elemanlar› da ç›kan
her yeni ürün için e¤itim almakta ve size her zaman orijinal

capacity, a project best fit for the new facility shall be prepared. Detailed reports

amount of energy you will consume, water consumption and the chemicals shall

The smallest models of the Tolon Washer- Extractor
(TWE) series, TWE 10 & TWE 20, allow you to have
easy installation due to their “free standing”
characteristic, which does not require anchorage. The
stainless cromium nickel and wide filling door allows
an easy loading and unloading. Due to the frequency
control unit and the adjustable rotation speed
particularity, they offer you the advantage of an
adequate rotation for all types of washing. A maximal
energy economy due to low water consumption,
figure among the common advantages of the TWE
series.
The programmable control unit that is easy to use
and flexible, make you have ideal results while safety
systems of the filling doors offer a perfectly secure
working environment.
Furthermore, the OPTIONAL CrNi panel has an esthetic
look and the additional coin slot system would allow
you to use the machine for private commercial
purporses. You can also measure your chemical and
water consumption with the automatic dosage
system and thewater counter.
Besides all the standard and optional particularities of
the other smaller versions, the TWE 30, TWE 40 and
TWE 50 models use for the medium size laundries.
The TWE 60, 80, 100 & 150 models allow you to make
a choice from a wide-raning list of options such as
the recovery tank, the lighting of the inner drum and

The Tolon Dryers (TD) series, offer high
productivity with their ergonomic structure,
their large interior volume (1/20) and the
wide loading door. The safety switches of
the loading door and of the filter door are
examples of the secure precautions of the
Tolon Dryers. The front loading system which
works on the vacuum principle, makes it
ideal for industrial use. The easy to use
control panel gives the benefit of adjusting
the working temperature and time. Steam
heating or electric heating option and also
the easy to clean filter are that common
features of all models.
Optionally, the side covers of the machine
can be manufactured by stainless CrNi. The
machine allows you to work in all sorts of
textile works depending on the options as
professional control units, the Cool-Down
option (standard in all electrical models),
the steam injection system. the humidity
sensors, the two way spinning control, the
adjustment of the spinning with a frequency
invertor and the electric + steam heating
system.

According to the customer’s
needs, The Tolon Flatwork Ironers
(TFI) are manufactured electric or
steamheated, the drying and
ironing belts are made from
NOMEX heat-resistant material.
The main cylinder is coated by
Epoxy anti-corrosion paint. The TFI
series have the option of working
towards or backwards, one way
or two ways. In the electric
heated models the heat is
controlled by thermostat. As for
the steam models, they have a
speed adjustment option (fast slow). The large surface of the
finger protection system is a proof
of the importance given to the
customer’s safety.
The OPTIONAL features are the
control unit P.L.C for the speed
adjustment, the teflon coated
main cylinder and the frequency
inventor for the rotation
adjustment.
