Abstract Güç elektroniği sistemlerinde bobin kayıpları sistem verimi üzerinde doğrudan etkilidir. Projede bobin kayıpları dikkate alınarak kontrol gerçekleştirilecek ve toplam sistem veriminin arttırılması konusunda araştırmalar yapılacaktır. Proje sonucunda güç elektroniği sistemlerinde akım kontrolü ve yüksek verim elde edilmesi açısından akademik ve endüstriyel katkılar sağlanması beklenmektedir. Current regulation in power electronics converters is an important research topic in both academic and industrial projects. Current control performance has a direct effect on system stability and dynamic response in systems such as motor drives, uninterruptible power supplies, active filter systems and PV (photovoltaic) inverters. Improving dynamic response of uninterruptible power supplies especially in non-linear loads depends directly on current control performance. In this project, an adaptive current control approach for power electronics converter will be developed. Two main goals of the project are developing a control method with a high dynamic response and improving filter element efficiency in power electronics systems. Control performance of the grid connected inverters, active filters and uninterruptible power supplies will be improved with the developed control method. Adaptive control of the current band in the hysteresis current control (HCC) system will be developed concerning inductor filter element efficiency. The filter inductors will be designed considering control system hence filter currents. This subject is especially crucial in grid connected inverters. The filter inductor losses will be modelled and the converter will be operated with the optimum current band considering inductor losses. A digital control system will be designed to succeed implementation of the proposed control method and it will be tested on various converters via HIL (Hardware in the Loop) system. The proposed control method will consider rate of change of current reference and inductor value variation depending on the current of the inductor to obtain a fixed switching frequency. Optimum efficiency of the converter system will be achieved via control and inductor design. Improving system efficiency is crucial for reducing losses and heat sink sizes. Lowering switching frequencies without compromising control performance will allow to reduce converter system size hence this will be an important improvement for systems with size restrictions. PV inverter efficiency improvements are also expected with the optimum control and filter design. Filter element losses directly effect system efficiency in power electronics systems. Controlling power electronics system considering filter element losses and improving efficiency will be researched in this project. Academic and industrial contributions are expected in terms of high performance current control and high converter efficiency with the proposed project.
