10. SPORTS FESTIVAL
This year, we organized the 10th Sports Festival between Monday, May 2nd and Wedneasday, May 4th. We finished the festival with a
fantastic ceremony. We had races and tournamens for 3 days in track&field, soccer, tennis, volleyball and swimming branches. 400
students from 30 schools participated in the festival. You may see the list of students and the results under each sports branch heading.

TRACK&FIELD
We organized track&field races on Wednesday May 4th. Mehmet Akif MS ,İsmail Tarman MS, Hürriyet MS, Ayazağa Işık Schools,
Zübeyde Hanım MS. , Yeniköy MS took part in rhe races. Little and star teams took part in the races. We could only organize the running
races due to the rainy weather. We congragulate all students for participating in the races under bad weather conditions. Enka students
made new friends under umbrellas when it was raining. Students even shared their raincoats with students coming from other schools.

BASKETBALL
ENKA LITTLE BASKETBALL
Little basketball team were successfull in the sports festival. They became champion in the tournament. Other schools were: Hisar
Schools, İELEV Sancaktepe MS, and Açı Schools. It was also exciting for guest students to watch their match. Their good performance
shows that they will achieve more in the future.

SOCCER
4th and 5th Graders’ soccer team participated in the sports festival on the first day. They played against Açı Schools and the team drew
2-2 at Açı Schools. On the second day, the team defeated Hisar Schools 3-2 and they advanced to the finals. At the last minutes of the
final match, Açı Schools scored a goal and Enka team came second in the tournament.

the team participated in Sarıyer District Little Soccer Matches. They were 2-1 defeated by Fahrettin Aslan Middle School although they
were playing well throghout the match. The team could not prevent the rival’s goals.

Enka Middle School Star Boys Tennis Team participated in the regional matches in Mersin between May 5th and 8th. You may see the

VOLEYBALL
High School girls team participated in the festival. Şehremini High School could not participate in the matches as they had an accident on
their way to the festival. We are glad that students are okey. Star girls volleyball team played to gain experience to substitute for

Zeynep Odabaşı represented Turkey in Balkan Youth Swimming Championship. She got the 5th place in Balkans in 100m

Little boys table tennis team participated in Sarıyer District Table Tennis Tournament with Baran Tokdemir,Emir Düvek and Enis Dündar.

Little girls team will participate in the regional championship in Mersin between May 17th and 20th.

Mini Swimming Local Races will be held in Sultanbeyli Swimming Pool.
