N. Müge Cengizkan. Ankara, Turkey. Born in 1978. BA in 1999, MA in 2001 at METU
Department of Architecture. Editor of MİMARLIK between 2002 and 2014, published
by the Chamber of Architects of Turkey (CAT) since 1963. Edited more than 10 books
and prepared / coordinated more than 150 books of the CAT Publications. Coordinator
of the CAT awards and exhibition programmes: Since 2004, the National Architecture
Exhibition and Awards Programme; since 2006, the Commemoration Programme (on
Mimar Kemalettin, Seyfi Arkan, Zeki Sayar, Haluk Baysal-Melih Birsel, Ernst Egli);
since 2008, Mimar Sinan Awarded Architects Programme (on Ziya Tanalı, Mehmet
Konuralp, Erkut Şahinbaş, Ersen Gürsel).
Nominator for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, Mies van der Rohe European
Contemporary Architecture Awards, The Museum of Modern Art / MoMA PS1: İstanbul
Modern YAP Project, World Architecture Community Architecture Award. Contributor
to the architectural project juries and some courses at METU, TEDU, İzmir Economy
and TOBB universities. Architectural critic and the member of selection committee in
Contemporary Architecture Series of books (VÇMD project), established by TSMDVitra.
Continues to work as freelance editor and curator as well as the Publication and
