1. BACK to SCHOOL
ACTIVITIES
As a “Back to School” activity, the children were given a piece of jigsaw puzzle. Then they
filled in the puzzle with some information about themselves. They wrote their names,
their favourite colours, food, hobbies and school subjects. Then the teacher collected all
the pieces. They were stuck on a cardboard and the classroom puzzle of 2A and 2B was
created by the children.
2. CREATIVE THINKING ABILITIES – TOYS
During unit 1, the children learnt the names of the toys and how to describe them. To
improve their creativity in thinking we did some activities based on toys. In the first
activity Santa Claus brought them a toy as a present for them. What was that toy that they
really wanted? What colour was it? Was it big or small? Based on some criteria, they drew
their present toys, coloured and described them.
As a second activity, they created a “Missing” notice for Santa Claus. He was lost with his
presents on his way to the children.
3. ACTIVITY HOUR: NUMBER GRABS
We will have our first activity hour this month called: Number Grabs. I will prepare 30
squares made of different colors with the numbers 1-12 on them. I will have 2 students
come up (representing teams). All the cards will be scattered face down on the floor and
mixed up. As a race, the two players will be assigned a color and then will have 1 minute to
find all the cards of their color but in the correct number order. The first team to get all 12
cards wins.
4. STORYTELLING
We had our first Storytelling lesson. In these lessons we use big books and the big book this
month was Five Little Ducks. This story is an old rhyme and it is fun and easy for the student
to present and read in a sing-song way. First we looked at the cover and tried to determine
the subject of the book. Then I read it aloud. After, students came up to read parts to the
class. When we were finished reading we acted the story out. The characters were: Mother
duck and the five baby ducks.

2. SINIFLAR
İNGİLİZCE BÜLTEN 1
Sayın Veli,
2. Sınıflarda İngilizce dersi 11 saattir. 8 saati maincourse, 2 saati skills (yabancı
öğretmenimiz ile) ve 1 saati İngilizce Okuma Saati olarak verilmektedir. Öğrenimi kalıcı ve
zevkli bir hale getirmek için İngilizce öğretmenleri olarak çeşitli aktiviteler
gerçekleştirmekteyiz: Aktivite saati, PowerPoint sunumu, hikâye anlatımı, okuma saatleri,
kelime değerlendirmesi, düşünme becerileri. İngilizce derslerimizde, öğretim, Düşünme
Becerileri Sistemine göre yapıldığından aşamalı ve sistematik bir biçimde uygulama yapılır.
Ödevler, İngilizce dersinin bütünleyici bir parçasıdır. Düzenli olarak çalışma kitabından
verilebileceği gibi yabancı öğretmenimizin hazırladığı okuma ve kelime sayfalarından da
oluşabilir. Bu yıla ilişkin asıl amacımız çocuklarımızın İngilizceyi sevmelerini sağlamaktır.
Bunu gerçekleştirebilmek için iletişime dayalı bir ilişki benimsenmiştir. Tüm dil becerileri;
okuma – dinleme – yazma – konuşma zaman içinde gelişecektir.

AKTİVİTELER
1. Okula Dönüş
Öğrencilerimiz bu aktivitede kendilerine verilmiş olan yapboz parçasını en sevdikleri renkler,
yiyecekler, günler, hobiler ve dersler ile doldurduktan sonra boyadılar ve bütün yapboz
parçaları bir araya getirilerek 2A ve 2B sınıflarının “Sınıf Yapbozları” oluşturuldu.
2. Düşünme Becerileri – Sentez Çalışması
Öğrencilerimiz Ünite 1’de işlemiş oldukları oyuncak konusunda düşünme becerileri ışığı
altında bir proje hazırladılar. İlk aktivitede Noel Baba, öğrencimize istediği bir oyuncağı
getirmektedir. Acaba bu oyuncak hangi oyuncaktır? Rengi nedir? Büyük müdür, küçük
müdür? gibi sorulara cevap vererek istedikleri oyuncağı verilen kâğıda çizdiler. İkinci
aktivitede Noel Baba, bu hediyeyi getirirken kaybolmuştur. Öğrencilerimiz onun için
“Aranıyor” ilânı hazırladılar.
3. Activity Hour: Number Grabs
Kasım ayı içinde ilk aktivite saati gerçekleştirilecektir. Bu aktivitede, öğrencilerimizin sayıları
ve renkleri pekiştirmeleri hedeflerimiz arasındadır. Yabancı öğretmenimiz 2 ayrı renkten olan
kartonlardan 30 tane kare hazırlayıp üzerlerine 1 – 12 arası sayıları yazacaktır. Sınıfı ikiye
bölüp gruplandıracaktır. Gruplara bir renk ismi verecektir. Kendi renk grubuna ait olan
sayıları toplayan kişi grubuna bir puan kazandıracaktır.
4. Storytelling
Öğrencilerimize anlatılan ilk hikâye Beş Küçük Ördek’tir. Bu hikâye çok eski bir tekerlemeye
dayanmaktadır. Öğrencilerimize çok komik gelen bu hikâyeyi önce yabancı öğretmenimiz
anlattı daha sonra sınıfça şarkısını söylediler. Anlatım sırasında önce büyük hikâye kitabımızın
başlığına baktılar ve hikâyenin konusu hakkında beyin fırtınası yaptılar. Sonra öğrencilerimiz
hikâyeyi canlandırdılar.
