NUCLEAR STRUCTURE RESEARCH GROUP
About Us
Nucleus is a quantum many-body system in which the underlying interactions between the nucleons
are not fully explained. As a feature of quantum many-body systems, existence of collective modes
can provide information about the nucleon-nucleon interaction and structure of nuclei. Especially,
with the advents in experimental nuclear physics, investigation of nuclei above and below the drip
lines are attract attention by
scientist.
The aim of our research group is to
study the structure of exotic nuclei
(whose neutron number is bigger
than proton number and unstable
nuclei) by means of Multiple
resonances. Soft modes are results
of neutron excess of nuclei and
providing
information from
nuclear structure (Neutron skin,
nuclear symmetry energy, etc.) to
neutron stars. In addition, Finite
temperature calculations in exotic
nuclei are in our current research
topics. In this way, we can get much
more information about nuclei
under extreme conditions.
We are also working with collaborators from l'Institut de Physique Nucléaire d'Orsay (CNRS-IPN).
