GENETLAB INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES
Genetlab creates state-of-art solutions for the defence and homeland
security market, developing systems and solutions based on “wireless sensor network” technologies.
To meet user requirements, Genetlab engages in R&D projects, developing hardware, software
and operating system components. Thanks to its experience
in wireless sensor network technologies, Genetlab is able to
bring new values and solutions to meet various needs in the
sector.
TEDAS – Wireless Sensor Network System for Perimeter
Security
TEDAS is a state-of-the-art Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) System, designed to
provide peripheral security for important facilities. It may be adapted to many types of
fences, including wire fences, panel fences,
wrought iron fences etc. Unauthorized persons trying to breach peripheral fencing are
immediately detected by TEDAS.
Any attempts at unauthorized access
through the fence (by breaching, climbing,
lifting etc.) is immediately detected and precisely pinpointed by TEDAS.
False alarms due to natural impacts (such
as wind, heavy rain etc.) or non-threatening
incidences (such as leaning on the fence,
balls striking the fence etc.) is diminished
through intelligent signal processing
methodologies. TEDASTM, based on a sophisticated state-of-the-art technology and
25
comprehensive field experience, provides a
reliable solution for peripheral security.
KADAS – Wireless Sensor Network
System for Critical Terrain Security
KADAS has been designed to secure borders and military bases. KADAS SenseNodes, incorporating seismic sensors, are
deployed on critical approach routes and passages to detect and control hostile
movements around critical infrastructures.
SenseAway – Rural Area Security and
Monitoring System
SenseAway is a system designed to detect
intrusions and monitor parameters such as
temperature and humidity in facilities located
in areas without infrastructure. SenseAway
needs no pre-engineered energy source or
communication infrastructure thanks to its own energy scavenging and communication capabilities. SenseAway can be modified according to user needs and the environmental conditions of the areas in which the facilities are located.

A shipyard that rises to exceed expectations with every project …
RMK Marine is a leading company in the
Turkish shipbuilding sector. Through a constant focus on innovation and investment in
its facilities, the company aims to increase
productivity and quality in line with its customers’ requirements. Following integration
into the KOÇ Group in 1997, the company
has enlarged its business both in the domestic and international markets with turn-key business solutions. RMK Marine builds
a wide range of vessels, including naval vessels, oil/chemical/stainless steel tankers,
tug boats, offshore vessels and superyachts of very high quality.
RMK Naval: Standing on with naval projects
RMK Marine has maintained a strong presence in naval ship projects. RMK Marine has
targeted military vessel construction projects, aiming to create considerable added
value for Turkey. The company was the first
private shipyard in Turkey to be awarded a
contract in the largest combat ship project
launched by the SSM, which will see the
construction of four corvette-based Search
and Rescue vessels for the Turkish Coast
Guard, each at a length of 88.6 meters.
RMK Marine had previously built two fleet replenishment tankers, TCG Alb. Hakkı
Burak and TCG Yzb. İhsan Tolunay, and delivered them to the Turkish Navy in 2000.
The shipyard is certified for NATO AQAP 2110 and ISO 9001 through audits by the
Ministry of National Defence and RINA respectively for Industrial Quality Assurance;
and has been granted also NATO and National Secret Level Facility Clearance. RMK
Marine, through investments aimed at developing its technological infrastructure and
human resources, is equipped to provide a high-quality service to naval forces.
Coast Guard Search and Rescue Ships:
RMK Marine is scheduled to deliver the first
Coast Guard Search and Rescue Ship in
2011, with the remaining three planned for
delivery in 2012. The ships are able to fulfil
various missions: patrol, prevention of
smuggling, pollution prevention, environmental protection and protection of EEZ, in
addition to their search and rescue roles.
41
The ships have a 1700 tonne full load displacement, a maximum speed of over 22
knots, and are equipped with helicopter hangars, a state-of-the-art weapon-electronics suite and a national command and control system. The first two ships, named
Dost and Güven, have already been launched, and Dost took part in its first engineering trial at sea in December 2010. The sea trials for the customer for will continue in 2011-Q1, which will be followed by acceptance and delivery. RMK Marine is
the first and only shipyard in Turkey with an established Combat System, Electrical
Design and Integrated Logistics Support departments. Its skilled workforce, including 128 design engineers, carries out combat system platform integration in addition
to naval engineering, starting from basic design into production design.
RMK Ships: Exceptional turn key projects
With a close eye on international markets,
RMK Marine has diversified its product
range to suit changing demands. RMK Marine is one of the few shipyards with the capability to complete projects working with
international turn-key shipbuilding contracts.
Many of its repeat orders are from existing
customers, which is an unmatched indicator of customer satisfaction.
Multi-Purpose Offshore Construction
Vessel:
In 2007, the construction of a landmark vessel build commenced at the RMK Marine
yard. The vessel, designed by Norwegian
company Sawicon, is one of the largest examples of its kind ever built in the world, with an overall length of 153.6 meters. The
vessel was successfully launched and delivered in 2009.
Superyacht building excellence
RMK Marine is focused on taking a place among the leading global yacht builders in the superyacht sector. The superyachts built in the RMK Marine yard have been
recognised by the superyacht industry and have received
many awards, which is a fact that RMK Maine is very
proud of. Most recently, Nazenin V was been honoured with the Judges Special Commendation prize at the prestigious World
Superyacht Awards 2010.
