According to Petroleum Market Information System Directive, third paragraph of Article 7, companies who needs to correct
their previous statements, may do this in surveillance of an authorized personnel. Because of the corrections on past data,
there may be mismatch between previous and following reports. These mismatches are being tracked and reduced to
minimum by the Authority.
SUMMARY
PRODUCTION
• While the total gasoline and diesel production of the refinery license owners decreased
by 0,9% with respect to the previous month to 1.055.744 tons, total production of the
petroleum products decreased by 5,3% to 1.741.730 tons.
• In 2012, refinery license owners’ production level increased by 5,7% to 22.115.614 tons
with respect to the the previous year (2011).
IMPORTS
• Crude oil imports decreased by 11% with respect to the previous month, accounting a total of
1.524.863 tons.
• Diesel imports, decreased by 17,6% with respect to the previous month, accounting a total of
606.057 tons.1
• In 2012, crude oil imports increased by 7% to 19.479.242 tons with respect to the previous
year (2011).
• In 2012, diesel imports increased by 3,6% to 8.513.590 tons with respect to the previous year
(2011).
EXPORTS
• Gasoline exports increased 14% with respect to the previous month to 198.459 tons.
• While the aviation fuels exports of the refinery, distributor and bunker delivery license owners
decreased by 31,6% to 176.351. tons , marine fuel exports decreased by 26,9% to 190.298 tons.
• In 2012, gasoline exports increased by 8,8% to 2.628.496 tons with respect to the previous year
(2011).
• Aviation fuel exports increased by 16,8% to 2.600.076 tons in 2012 with respect to the previous
year (2011). Meanwhile marine fuel exports increased by 59% to 2.126.778 tons in the same
period.

PRICE MOVEMENTS
• In this month, average gasoline pump prices increased by 0,4% to 4,61 TL/l with respect to the
previous month.
• In this month, average diesel pump prices decreased by 0,5% to 4,13 TL/l with respect to the
previous month.

RETAILER SALES
• In this month, 75,29% of diesel sales, 99,30% of gasoline sales and 59,59% of gasoil sales
are done via pumps.
• In this month, sales of fuel oil types are done without entering retailer tanks.
• In this month, white products (gasoline and diesel) consists of 98,38% of the sales done by
retailers with station.
• In this month, heating oil consists of the 60,45% of the black products’ sales done by
retailers without station.
• In this month, respectively 10,51% and 7,05% of the credit card and bank card sales
operations are done via fuel retailers.
• In this month, respectively 11,19% and 10,79% of total sales by credit card and bank card
are done by fuel retailers. In this context, fuel sales of retailers via credit card and bank
cards sums up to approximately 3,6 billion TL.
SECTOR REPORT
DOMESTIC SALES3
• Domestic gasoline sales decreased by 1,6 % to 140.193 tons and diesel sales decreased by
13,1 % to 1.207.764 tons.
• Domestic gasoline sales in 2012 decreased by 5,8 % to 1.850.315 tons while the Diesel sales
increased by 6,1% to 15.647.596 tons in comparison to the year 2011.
