· Un appareil de protection respiratoire est
destiné à protéger un individu contre le risque
d’inhalation de substances dangereuses présentes dans l’atmosphère de travail sous forme
d’aérosols (poussières) solides ou liquides, ou
sous forme de gaz ou vapeurs.
· L’utilisateur d’un appareil de protection
respiratoire doit s’informer sur la nature des
risques présents (la composition et la concentration des substances toxiques) dans l’atmosphère dans laquelle il doit effectuer son
travail d’une part, et sur les performances
et limitations d’emploi de l’appareil d’autre
part. Il importe de prendre en considération
le temps pendant lequel il est nécessaire d’assurer la protection respiratoire, ainsi que la
charge physiologique (le rythme respiratoire)
de l’utilisateur afin de sélectionner un appareil ayant une autonomie adaptée.
· La valeur limite (vl) d’un composé chimique
représente sa concentration dans l’air que peut
respirer une personne pendant un temps déterminé sans risque d’altération pour sa santé.
On distingue la Valeur Limite Moyenne d’Exposition (VME pour un travail de 8 heures) et la
Valeur Limite d’Exposition à court terme (VLE
pour un travail de 15 minutes).
· Ces valeurs dépendent des réglementations
nationales.
· A respiratory protective equipment is meant
to protect a person against hazardous substances present in the atmosphere where he/she
should work under forms like solid or liquid aerosols or gas, vapours or steam.
· The user of a respiratory protective equipment must know the nature of the present
risks (composition and concentration of the
toxic substances) in the atmosphere in which
he/she should work on one hand, and the
performance level and limits of the respirator on the other hand. It’s important to take
into consideration the time during which the
protection must be ensured as well as the
physiologic charge (breathing rhythm) of the
user in order to select a respirator having the
adapted autonomy.
· The Occupational Exposure Limit values are
the levels of toxic contaminants to which an
unprotected worker may be exposed during
a given period without adverse health effects.
Are distinguished the Long Term Exposure Limit (LTEL for exposure to an 8-hour period) and
the Short Term Exposure Limit (STEL for exposure to a 15-minute interval).
· These values depend on national legislations.

çalıştığı ortamdaki havada bulunan katı veya sıvı
aerosol, buhar veya gaz gibi şekillerdeki zararlı
maddelerden koruma amacı taşımaktadır.
· Solunum koruyucu ekipmanı kullanıcısı bir
yandan çalıştığı yerin havasındaki mevcut risklerin niteliğini (zehirli maddelerin yapısı ve
içeriği) ve bir yandan da solunum cihazının
performans seviyesini ve sınırlarını bilmelidir.
Koruma sağlanması gereken süreyi ve uygun
otonomiye sahip bir solunum cihazını seçmek
için kullanıcının fizyolojik yükünü (nefes alış
ritmini) hesaba katmak gerekir.
· Mesleki Maruz Kalım Limiti değerleri belirli bir
sürede sağlık üzerinde olumsuz etkileri olmadan, korunmayan bir işçinin maruz kalabileceği
zehirli madde seviyesidir. Bu seviyeler Uzun
Süreli Maruz Kalım Sınırı (8 saatlik bir sürede
maruz kalım için LTEL) ve Kısa Süreli Maruz
Kalım Sınırı (15 dakikalık bir aralıkta maruz
kalım için STEL)’de belirtilmiştir.
· Bu değerler ulusal yasalara göre değişmektedir.

· Ils sont constitués dans leur intégralité ou preque du matériau filtrant lui-même.
· Ils peuvent être équipés ou non d’une soupape expiratoire.
· Ces appareils sont couverts par la norme NF
EN 149:2001.
· Ils doivent être marqués FFP1 (faible capacité
de filtration), FFP2 (moyenne capacité de filtration), FFP3 (grande capacité de filtration) selon
leurs classe d’efficacité. «SL» dans le cas où il
protègent à la fois contre les poussières et aérosols solides et liquides.
· Ils sont marqués «VO» lorsqu’ils protègent
contre les vapeurs organiques et «GA» s’ils
protègent contre les gaz acides.

· Les masques complets recouvrent le front, le
nez, la bouche et le menton et comportent une
partie oculaire; leurs caractéristiques sont définies dans la norme NF EN 136.
· Les demi-masques couvrent le nez, la bouche et
le menton et font l’objet de la norme NF EN 140.
· Pour porter une pièce faciale telle qu’un
masque complet ou un demi-masque, il est
nécessaire de veiller à la bonne continuité du
joint facial. Les hommes seront correctement
rasés; on évitera l’interposition de cheveux, de
barbes ou de branches de lunettes (sinon, le
facteur de protection sera diminué).
· Les filtres à visser sur les masques font l’objet des normes EN141 et EN14387 (filtres
anti-gaz et filtres combinés) et EN143 (filtres
à particules) et sont classés par codes de couleurs conformes aux normes européennes et
par classes de filtration : 1= capacité faible,
2=capacité moyenne, 3=grande capacité.
· Ne jamais utiliser un environnement dans lequel la concentration d’oxygène est inférieure
à 17 Vol.%.
· Full-face masks cover the forehead, nose,
mouth abd chin and have a ocular piece ; their
caracteristics are described in the European
standard EN136.
· Half-face masks cover the nose, mouth and
chin and are discribed in the European standard EN140.
· To wear a face mask like a full-face or a halfface mask, it is necessary to make sure that the
sealing surface is completely continuous to the
face. Men must be correctly shaven and any
interposition of hair, beard, or glasses temples
must be avoided (otherwise the assigned protection factor will be reduced).
· The threaded filtre cartbridges for the masks
comply with the European standards EN141
and EN14387 (antigas and combined filtres)
and EN143 (anti-aerosols) and are labelled
with colour-codes according to the European
standards and filtering classes : 1= low capacity, 2= medium capacity, 3= high capacity.
· Never use the filtering masks in atmospheres where the Oxygen content is lower than
17 Vol.%.

sağlanmalıdır (aksi takdirde koruma faktörü
azalacaktır).
· Maskelerin dişli filtre kartuşları EN141 ve
EN14387 (anti gaz ve kombine filtreler) ve
EN143 (anti aerosol) Avrupa standartlarına
uygundur ve Avrupa standartlarına ve filtreleme sınıflarına göre renk kodlarıyla etiketlenirler. Filtreleme sınıfları: 1= düşük kapasite,
2=orta kapasite, 3= yüksek kapasite.
· Maskeleri Oksijen oranı %17’nin altında
olduğu yerlerde kesinlikle kullanmayın.

Gaz et vapeurs de composés organiques
au point d’ébullition supérieur à 65 °C.
Exemples d’hydrocarbures particuliers :
toluène, benzène, xylène, styrène, térébenthine, cyclohexane, tétrachlorure de carbone, trichloroéthylène. Certains solvants sont souvent
utilisés sous forme de mélange, par ex. solvants
à base de benzène, essences minérales, térébenthine minérale, white spirit, solvant naphta.
Autres composés organiques : diméthylformamide, phénol, alcool furfurylique, alcool de
diacétone. Ainsi que certaines matières premières et certains additifs du plastique, par

Acides organiques, gaz acides et généralement acides gazeux, par ex. acide nitrique, acide propionique, acide formique.
FILTRE K
Ammoniac et dérivés organiques de l’ammoniac, aminés organiques tels que méthylamine,
éthylamine, éthylènediamine, diéthylamine.

Examples of specific hydrocarbons: toluene, benzene, xylene, styrene, turpentine,
cyclohexane, carbon tetrachloride, trichloroethylene. Some solvents are often used in
the form of mixtures, for instance solvents
from benzene, mineral essence, mineral
turpentine, white spirit, naphtha solvent.
Other organic compounds: dimethylformamide,
phenol, furfurylique alcohol, diacetone alcohol.
Some raw materials and plastic additives:

acids, nitric acid, propionic acid, formic acid.

Formes de particules
· Poussières : Particules solides aéroportées
générées au cours du traitement de matières
organiques et inorganiques. Elles peuvent
être constituées de minéraux, de charbon, de
bois ou de céréales comme de fibres diverses
(amiante, silicate, fibre de verre, etc.).
· Gaz de fumée : Particules métalliques
générées par le refroidissement d’un métal
évaporé et son oxydation au contact de
l’oxygène de l’air. Des gaz de fumée d’oxyde
de plomb, par exemple, sont produits par la
fonte du plomb. Des gaz d’oxyde ferrique et
d’autres métaux sont produits au cours du soudage.
· Fumées : Particules fines de charbon et de
suie incorporant des gouttelettes liquides
· Brouillards : Gouttelettes aéroportées formées par la dispersion d’un fluide dans l’air
sous la forme de fines particules.
Exemples : brouillards d’huile dus à l’usinage
du métal, lors de la coupe ou du meulage.

virus, spores
· Particules radioactives, sont produites par la
radiation.
Forms of particles
· Dust: Solid particles transported by air and
generated during the treatment of the organic
and inorganic matters. They can be composed
of mineral, coal, wood or cereals such as diverse fibres (asbestos, silicate, fibreglass, etc…)
· Smoking gas: metallic particles generated by
the cooling of an evaporated metal and the oxidation when it enters in contact with the oxygen in the air. Smoking gases from lead oxide,
for instance, are produced from lead melting.
Ferric oxide gases are produced while soldering.
· Smokes: Thin particles of coal and soot that
integrate liquid droplets.
· Fogs: droplets transported by air, made up of
a fluid scattering in the air, in the form of thin
particles.
Examples: Oil fogs caused by metal machining,
at the moment of cutting or grinding.
· Micro-organism: for instance bacteria, virus,
spores
· Radioactive particles are produced by radiation.

Les filtres combinés arrêtent à la fois les gaz et
vapeurs et les particules. L’air traverse d’abord
les éléments filtrant les particules puis ceux
absorbant les gaz. L’élément filtrant stoppe
des particules aérosolées tels que les gouttelettes de peinture. La vaporisation de liquides
requiert l’emploi de filtres combinés.
Combined filters stopped both gases
and vapours, and particles. First, the air
crosses the elements that filter the particles, then those that absorb gases. The
filtering element stops the spread particles such as paint droplets. The liquids
spraying requires the use of combined filters.
Parçacık türleri
· Toz : Havada taşınan ve organik ve inorganik
maddelerin işlenmesi sırasında oluşan katılar.
Minerallerden, kömür, tahta veya çeşitli lifler
(asbest, silikat, fiberglas vb.) gibi zahireden
oluşabilirler.
· Dumanlı gazlar : buharlaştırılan metalin
soğutulmasıyla oluşan metal parçacıkları ve havadaki oksijenle temas ettiğinde oluşan oksitlenme. Örneğin kurşun oksitten çıkan dumanlı
gazlar kurşunun eritilmesiyle hâsıl olur. Demir
oksit gazları lehimleme esnasında ortaya çıkar.
· Dumanlar : Sıvı damlaları içeren ince kömür
ve is parçaları
· Sis : havada taşınan, havaya dağılmış bulunan bir sıvıdan oluşan, ince parçalar halinde
damlalardır.
Örnekler : Metalin makine ile işlenmesiyle
kesme veya öğütme esnasında oluşan yağ sisi.

· Radyoaktif parçalar radyasyon sonucu meydana gelir.
Kombine filtreler :
Kombine filtreler gaz ve buharı önlerken aynı
zaman da parçacıkları da önler. İlk olarak hava,
parçaları filtreleyen elementlerden ve daha
sonra gazları emen elementlerden geçer. Filtreleme ünitesi boya damlası gibi parçaların
yayılımını önler. Sprey sıvıları için kombine
filtre gereklidir.
