CATALOG DESCRIPTION:
Introduction; Main methods of operational research; Project definition and project planning; Project planning
method with Gannt diagram; Network diagram; Preparing network diagram projects; Defining critical activities
and abundances to projects; Time, cost and capacity relationships in projects and shortening of critical path;
PERT method; Governing factors in project planning in the field of mapping; Project management; Calculating
project costs; To be done mapping project by tender.
COURSE PRECONDITIONS:
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
To make the students acquainted with using of project planning methods.
COURSE STRUCTURE:
The class meets for two lectures a week, each consisting of two 50-minute sessions and a Problem session of 50minute duration. 6-7 sets of homework problems are assigned per semester. Homework is not collected but
similar problems are asked in announced quizzes. There are two in-class mid-term exams and a final exam.
