doors for the first time in the season 2015 invites its
guests to enjoy a unique holiday. The resort features
specially decorated rooms, comfortable and chic
concept, breathtaking natural views, green nature and
exquisite restaurant menu selection.
LOCATION
Murat Reis is perfectly located just 4 km away from
Ayvalık city center, 3 km away from Sarımsaklı Beach
and 15 km away from Cunda Island. Situated at close
proximity to Şeytan Sofrası area, Sarımsaklı Beach and
Cunda Island, at one of the best locations of the
Southern Aegean Coast, just at the seaside, our hotel is
surrounded by rich green pine-trees and overlooks the
beautiful sunset panorama. Minibuses and taxi service
are among the transportation options provided.
HOW TO GET THERE
Murat Reis is located 55 km away from Koca Seyt Airport and 172 km away from Izmir International Airport. We offer
our guests transfers by comfortable VIP cars. In addition to that, the seaplane can take our guests from Haliç to
Ayvalık within 75 minutes. The guests who come from Istanbul by car using the speed ferryboat from Yenikapı
(Istanbul) to Bandırma can reach Bandirma in 2 hours and then take the road of 245 km to arrive to our hotel. All
transfers are subject to availability and shall be booked in advance.

About the Destination
Alibey (Cunda) Island: This island is accessible with a bridge via land route. In summers you may find boat tours from Ayvalık to Alibey Island. There are many churches and
monasteries on the island. The biggest of the churches is Taksiyarhis Church. The big bell of the church is in Bergama Museum.
Dining options, restaurants with fresh seafoods are to dieful and offer Aegean cuisine.
Şeytan Sofrası (Sarımsaklı): Above the Murat Reis Ayvalık. The hill resembles an oval table, which actually is an old lava debris. There is a footprint which is said to be
devil's. The sunset is an amazing experience from this hill. You may find a restaurant there as well.

Ayvalık Houses (Ayvalık): Ayvalık houses with their doors, door handles, windows, wood and stone will take you to a journey into the past Greek time.
Sarımsaklı Beaches: 8 km from centrum. The 7 km long and 100 meters wide beach contains lots of rest areas, cafeterias and seafood restaurants. Şahinkaya (Badavut)
beach which follows has got fine and clean sand.
Altınova: Altınova has got clean beaches. 13 km away from the centrum and you may find many trekking, picnic and rest areas.
Ali Çetinkaya(Armutçuk): Located on the north coast of the country, a public fine sandy beach.
Alibey Island (Cunda): 8 km away from centrum via land route and its sea shore is peaceful.
Mosques and Churches
Time Mosque (Ayvalık): Built by the local Greeks in Ismet Paşa District, being used as a mosque since 1928.
Taksiyarhis Church (Cunda): Built in 1873. Located in the first district of the city in which Christians and Muslims lived together. Surrounding streets with their neo-classical
approach, are in harmony with the history of the district.
The church is the most precious historical artifact of the city with its architecture, marbles, ceiling paintings, Jesus' life stories imprinted on the walls and so many religious icons.

Moonlight Monastery (Cunda): Ayışığı (Moonlight) Monastery, you may get to the monastery after passing first and the second villages, located on Patriça (Northern
extension of the island). Largely preserved its characteristic features.
Leka Monastery (Cunda): Entering the Dalyan Strait, you may locate the monastery in between the olive trees.The reason that the traditional monastery features are
preserved is because monks have labored during the construction.
Diving
Beside its historical and cultural riches, especially the surroundings of the island, is a very important center that's preferred by many diving lovers.
Other Places to See
Güvercin(Pigeon) Island: Pigeon Island is located in Pateriça Strait, which is blessed by god and the monastery within the island is attracting visitors being a building that
has survived since the middle age.
Çamlık: A hill located just near the city. The hill is swarmed with pines and you may find many night clubs.
Do not go back... without watching the sunset on Devil's Table, eating fish at Cunda Island, seeing the churches, diving at Ayvalık Islands, swimming in Sarımsaklı, taking a boat
tour from the islands and buying olive and olive oil.
