sürdürülebilir kalkınma ve kurumsal sosyal
sorumluluk üzerine uzmanlaşmış bağımsız bir
araştırma enstitüsüdür.
Temel araştırma ile uygulamalı araştırma
ilkelerini birleştiren disiplinler arası bir
yaklaşımla, tüm toplumsal düzeylerde
(bireysel, kurumsal, bölgesel, ulusal ve
uluslararası) sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın
sağlanmasına katkıda bulunmaktayız.
Gücümüz, gerek uygulamalı gerekse temel
bilimsel çalışma ile bilim, politika, yönetim,
ekonomi ve diğer disiplinler arasında
arabulucuğa dayanan uzun süreli
deneyimimizde ve “Örgütsel ve Siyasi
Öğrenim” alanındaki uzmanlığımızda
yatmaktadır.
Sürdürülebilir kalkınma, kuşağımızın
sınırlarını zorlamaktadır. Biz bu süreçte
ortaya çıkan ekonomik, siyasi, sosyal

The Institute
The Research Institute for Managing
Sustainability (RIMAS) at the Vienna
University of Economics and Business is an
independent university institute specializing
on research for Sustainable Development
and Corporate Sustainability.
We contribute to the achievement of
sustainable development at all societal
levels (i.e. the individual, corporate,
municipal, regional, national and
international levels) by developing and
applying scientific insights.
Our strength lies in our orientation on
practice, sound scholarship, a long track
record in interfaces between science, policy,
management and economics, and expertise
in organisational and policy learning as well
as mediation between various scientific
disciplines.
Sustainable Development is the
challenge of our generation.
We contribute to its achievement
by interdisciplinary research and
international co-operations.
We are proud that as a result the
research institute has developed
into a well recognised European
know-how centre in recent years.

We deal with new cooperative forms
of managing politics, business,
economy and society. Participation,
mediation and stakeholder dialogues
are therefore proven tools. We have
conceptualized „Strategic Public
Management“ and through our
scientific work maintain a Europe
wide network of policy makers.
