2016 YOUTH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
24TH AUGUST – 1ST SEPTEMBER
Dear Presidents & General Secretaries,
We are pleased to invite you to the 2016 Youth World Championships to be held in Bangkok, Thailand.On
this special occasion we would like to extend an invitation to your junior national muaythai team to
participate in the abovementioned World Championships. The event will be held from 24th August – 1st
September, 2016.
We are proud to announce that the event is fully supported and organised in partnership with the Thailand
Department of Physical Education, and will focus on fun, family and the future of our sport… the YOUTH.
The tournament will consist of 4 main events:
IFMA Youth World Championships Tournament
Youth Muay Boran World Championships
Youth Muay Aerobic World Championships
Youth Wai Kru World Championships
**Please note that each participant is permitted and encouraged to enter MORE THAN ONE event
We will also have the following courses on offer:
5-day R&J Certification Course (Registration fee $200USD/pax)
5-Day IGLA Instructor Certification Course (Registration fee $300USD/pax)
The Muaythai competitions will run from the 26th to 31st of August. The opening ceremony of the event will
be on the 25th of August and first Weigh-in and Medical Check will be conducted on the 24th (PM), with a
last chance to do so on the 25th (AM). Teams are required to arrive in Bangkok no later than the 25th of
August and are obliged to stay in the official hotel for the entire duration of the event, with check out no
earlier than 1st September. Those that do not adhere to this rule will not be permitted to participate in the
event and will not receive accreditation.
