The Pool Lounge Restaurant
The Pool Lounge Restaurant and Bar is open 7 days a week and serves food from 8am to 10.30pm.
Drinks continue until midnight. Snacks and everyday items such as toilet roll, washing powder can be
purchased from the market.
Horizon Sky Boat
The boat service for all Horizon Sky guests operates 7 days a week. Please refer to the timetable
attached. Please notify a member of the Signature Resorts team 1 hour prior to the time you wish to
travel.
Drinking Water
Drinking tap water is not recommended. To be on the safe side, only drink water from sealed bottles on
sale in all markets and shops. Bottled water is available from the Pool Bar Lounge market.

Mosquitoes
It would be advisable to use DEET-based insect repellent to help avoid Mosquitoes bites which can cause
irritation and also infections.
Electricity
The electrical current in Turkey is 220V AC, 50Hz. Wall sockets are the round two-pin European type.
Traffic
In Turkey, traffic drives on the right. Be aware and prepared at all times as drivers often pull out and
overtake, sometimes on blind bends, without indicating. Some road conditions around the site to the
main rood are poor so watch out for potholes, animals on the roads and vehicles driving with their lights
off at night!!
It is advisable to carry your passport and driving licence at all times when driving just in case the Polis or
Jandarma stop you to carry out a routine check.
Currency
Currency in Turkey is the Turkish Lira (TL) = 100 Kurus (KR).
Bank notes are in denominations of TL: 200 TL 100 TL, 50 TL, 20 TL, 10 TL, and 5 TL
Coins are in denominations of : 1 TL, 50 KR, 25 KR, 10 KR, 5 KR and 1 Kurus.
Banks
Banks are generally open from 09:00 - 12:00 and 13:30 - 17:00 every week day, although not all banks
close during lunch and some even open on Saturdays. Banking transactions can be carried out in Turkish
Lira or foreign currencies and most provide a bureau de change service in English.

Exchange Offices
Foreign currency exchange offices (döviz bürosu) can be easily found throughout the local area and
Bodrum. Some offer better exchange rates than banks and hotels and in most cases do not charge
commission on cash transactions. Commission is normally charged for travellers and bank cheques.
Rates change from office to office so shop around to get the best deal.

Car Hire
There are many car hire companies available, some also rent out motorcycles and bicycles. Always
thoroughly check the rental contract and insurance policy details before agreeing to hire a vehicle.

Local Transport
The dolmuş (minibus) is the cheapest form of public transportation to travel around with routes to local
villages and small towns. Fares are paid during the journey to the driver and will differ depending upon
the company providing the service. For timetable information please contact the Signature office.
Intercity bus services offer services to destinations throughout Turkey, the office of which can be found
at Bodrum Bus Terminal (Otogar) in Bodrum and Milas Bus Terminal in Milas where a ticket (bilet) must
be purchased in advance.
Taxi
Turkish taxis are yellow and are fitted with meters and can be found waiting by the side of the road and
parked at taxi ranks. Fares will vary dependent upon the time of day but note that the daily rate
(gündüz) is cheaper than the night rate (gece). Check to see if the driver has started the meter and that
the correct rate is applied before your journey begins.
Güllük Taxi Rank is located near the middle of the harbour.
Boat Tours
Daily boat tours can be taken from most local towns and villages including Güllük, Bodrum and Torba.
Routes and prices vary dependent upon the operator. You can contact with site office for your bookings.

Türbükü
A pretty, traditional fishing village set on a peninsula hillside. With crystal clear waters, excellent
seafood restaurants and trendy bars, Türbükü is a fashionable hotspot for Turkish celebrities.
Ortakent
Ortakent is a large village situated in the centre of Bodrum Peninsula and is famous for its attractive 17th
Century ‘tower houses’ and architecture. These tower houses were built by locals to protect themselves
from the dangers coming from the sea. The market, selling fresh fruit and vegetables is open every
Wednesday. Kargı Beach is certainly one of the best beaches in the Bodrum Peninsula with its white
sand and palm trees, camel rides are available.

Gümbet offers one of the longest and most popular beach on the peninsula. This is considered the place
to go for entertainment and water sports.
Yalikavak
Yalikavak is one of the oldest fishing villages in Bodrum, with many of its inhabitants still seafarers. It is
also famous for its citrus trees, fish and new marina. Visit the village bazaar for souvenirs, textiles and
