TUBİTAK ulusal genç araştırmacı kariyer geliştirme programı tarafından desteklenen Çoklu Robot
Sistemlerinde Gömülü Kopyalama ve Davranışsal Adaptasyon projesinde çalışmak üzere tam
zamanlı bir doktora öğrencisi aranmaktadır. Doktora öğrencisine, düzenli ödemelerle birlikte, diğer
araştırma masrafları (yurt içi ve yurt dışı bilimsel toplantılara katılım) için yıllık ödenek sağlanacak ve
doktorasını İstanbul Kemerburgaz Üniversitesi’nde yapmak isteyen başarılı öğrencilere doktora eğitim

Projenin ana amacı gömülü kopyalama ve davranışsal adaptasyonu çoklu robot sistemlerinde
incelemektir. Yapay ajanlardan oluşan (robotlar) bir grup içerisinde ortak davranış ve yeteneklerin
oluşması ve yayılması incelenecek ve bu davranışların grubun genel başarısı üzerindeki etkisi
araştırılacaktır.
Adaylardan Bilgisayar Bilimi ve Mühendisliği veya Elektrik-Elektronik Mühendisliği alanlarında
yükseklisans derecesine sahip olmaları istenmektedir. Yükseklisans tezini sürü robotlar ve çok-ajanlı
sistemler üzerine gerçekleştiren adaylara öncelik verilecektir. Öğrenci, gerçek robotlar ve bilgisayar
simülasyonu üzerinde çok-ajanlı sistemler alanında araştırma yapacaktır. Adaylardan programlama
konusunda ileri derecede bilgi sahibi olmaları (örneğin C ve Matlab programlama), robotik ve makine
öğrenmesi alanında araştırma yapma konusunda istekli olmaları ve ileri derecede İngilizce bilmeleri
beklenmektedir.
PhD fellowship in the domain of collective robotics
A position for PhD fellowship is open for the Embodied Imitation and Behavioral Adaptation in
Collective Robotics Project, funded by TUBİTAK, under the national young researchers career
development program. The fellowship includes, besides the regular stipend, a yearly fund for other
research expenses and successful candidates, who want to have their PhD study at Istanbul
Kemerburgaz University, will be given a PhD tuition scholarship. For more information on the project

The main objective of the project is to investigate embodied imitation and behavioral adaptation in
the context of collective robotics. We will examine the use of imitation for formation and transfer of
shared skills and behaviors in a group of artificial agents, i. e. robots, while investigating the effects of
these behaviors on the collective success of the group.
An MSc degree in Computer Science and Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a
prerequisite for the candidates. Preference will be given to candidates with academic background
with an MSc thesis experience in Swarm Intelligence and Multi-agent Systems. The candidates will
perform PhD studies on Multi-agent systems with real robot experiments and computer simulation.
Essential skills are excellent programming skills (in for example C and Matlab), strong motivation for
research in robotics and machine learning, and good communications skills in English.
