DESIGN, MISSIONS AND CAPABILITIES
Korvet sınıfı geminin ana görevleri; keşif, karakol ve gözetleme işlevleri ile harekat alanlarında gerçek zamanlı
taktik resmin oluşturulmasını sağlamak ve böylelikle düşman suüstü, sualtı ve hava hedeflerini imha ederek
ve/veya etkisiz hale getirerek deniz kontrolünü tesis etmektir.
Main functions of the Corvette class ship are to provide a real time tactical picture via surveillance, patrolling and
reconnaissance functions to maintain control at seas through destruction and/or neutralization of enemy targets at
surface, underwater and air.
İkincil görevleri ise deniz-hava harekatı icra etme, elektronik ve akustik harp icra etme, arama ve kurtarma
faaliyetleri yürütme, kara bombardımanı icra etme, asimetrik tehditlere karşı savunma, istihbarat toplama,
deniz nakliyatının korunmasını sağlama, amfibi harekat kapsamında destek temin etme ve eğitimdir.
Secondary functions of the Corvette are execution of naval-air operations, electronic and acoustic warfare, search
and rescue operations, protection against asymmetrical threats, intelligence gathering, protection of sea trade
traffic, supporting amphibious operations and training.
RMK Marine özgün tasarımı olan Korvet, yukarıda sıralanan imkan ve kabiliyetlere ve bu kabiliyetlerin ve/veya
itki sistemlerinin türevlerine sahiptir.
The Corvette designed by RMK Marine has various combinations of those capabilities along with different
propulsion systems.
