Title:
“Changes in the brain cortex of rabbits on a cholesterol-rich
diet following supplementation ………”
Abstract:
“… The number of synapses apparently decreased in both experimental
groups. Administration of…”
Quantitative analysis
“…The quantification method was applied as described
previously (Xxxx et al., 2002). Following the quantification, the
electron micrographs were arranged according to experimental
groups…”
Review for Berkman et al_29-05-08
“The present study investigated the effects of high cholesterol diet on
ultrastructure of the cerebral cortex and also to see whether an herbal
extract of Tribulus terrestris extract treatment can ameliorate possible
damage seen in the brain. Although this is a well designed
immunohistochemical study, but quantitative results of experiment on
mitochondrion and synapse number are not based on unbiased
methods such as dissector counting method, in this respect the
comments based on these structures may not show real change in the
tissue brain. I would like to see this manuscript without biased counting
results being published in the esteemed journal…”

Re: MS#6165 "Effect of high fat diet on quantitative feature..." by Aslan et

Dear Dr. Kaplan:
The reviewer has recommended the above paper for publication in OBESITY
SURGERY. The only question was whether you could slightly decrease the
length of the paper, as it is a little longer than the usual paper in
OBESITY SURGERY. Please go over it one last time and see if it can be
shortened a bit, and send it by email attachment for publication in the
journal. We have received your Figures successfully.
Sincerely,
Mervyn Deitel, MD

Dear
Mervyn Deitel, MD:
Thanks for very fast and wonderful reviewing process
for my manuscript in your journal. It is pleasure for
me and also my groups to hear our manuscript have been
accepted by your esteemed journal. I have been asked
for slightly shortening the manuscript. I had checked
the all part of manuscript, but I could not found a
part of it that could be cut. Since if I have deleted
any paragraph, figure or graph, the massage of the
paper is changed substantially. I am very sorry giving
such an answer to you. It is hopped that we would
prepare our manuscript as required format in the next time.
Yours sincerely,
Suleyman Kaplan
