CAMİLER VE DİN GÖREVLİLERİ
Kardeşlerim!
Okuduğum ayet-i kerimede Yüce Rabbimiz:
"Şüphesiz mescitler, Allah'ındır. O halde, Allah
ile birlikte hiç kimseye kulluk etmeyin"1
buyuruyor.
Okuduğum hadis-i şerifte ise peygamberimiz (sav):
"Kim Allah rızasını umarak Allah için bir mescid
yaparsa, Allah'ta o kişi için cennette bir köşk inşa
eder"2 buyurmaktadır.
Kardeşlerim!
Mabetlerin tarihi Hazreti Adem (as)'a kadar
uzanmaktadır. Nitekim yüce rabbimiz: "Şüphesiz,
insanlar için kurulan ilk ibadet evi, elbette Mekke'de,
âlemlere rahmet ve hidayet kaynağı olarak kurulan
Kâbe'dir"3 buyurarak bu gerçeği bizlere bildirmiştir.
Şüphesiz her peygamberin döneminde mabetlerin
şekli, mimari özellikleri farklı olmakla birlikte,
maksatları ve çağrıları her zaman aynı olmuştur. Bu
maksat ve çağrı bir olan, eşi ve benzeri olmayan,
herşeyin sahibi olan Allah'a kulluktur.
Kardeşlerim!
Yüce dinimiz İslam'ın mabedi efendimiz (sav)'den beri
mesciddir, camidir. Peygamber efendimiz Medine'ye
hicret ettiklerinde yaptıkları ilk iş bugün Mescid-i
Nebevi olarak bildiğimiz mescidin temelini atmak
olmuştur. Daha sonraki dönemlerde de O'nun
terbiyesini ve tavsiyesini baştacı eden müminlerin en
itinalı ve severek yaptıkları binalar camiler olmuştur.
Çünkü cami bizim kültürümüzde Allah'ın evidir. Bu
nedenle her türlü saygıya, güzelliğe ve hürmete
layıktır. Camiler gelişigüzel, mimari açıdan niteliksiz
olarak inşa edilmemelidir. Ecdadımızın yaptığı
eserlerin en muhteşemi camilerdir. Bugün dahi
dünyanın her tarafından ülkemize gelen insanların
Camiler müminleri bir araya getiren mekanlardır. Yani
birlik, beraberlik ve kardeşlik yerleridir. Yüce Allah'a
ibadet gibi ulvi bir görevin yapıldığı müstesna yerlerdir.
Camilerde bu mübarek mekanların ruhuna uygun
düşmeyen haraketler yapılmamalıdır. Namaz kılmalı,
Kur'an okumalı, tesbih çekmeli ve ilimle meşgul
olmalıdır. Özellikle yurtdışında camiye leke getirecek,
müminleri zan altında bırakacak her türlü davranıştan
kaçınılmalıdır. Çünkü camiler bütün bir ümmetin ve
milletin namusudur. Şahsi tasarrufta bulunacağımız,
istediğimiz gibi davranacağımız yerler değildir.
Kardeşlerim!
Camilerde peygamber efendimiz (sav)'in görevini
yerine getirmeye çalışan din görevlileridir. Bu görev
çok ağır ve çok onurlu bir görevdir. Çünkü insanlığa
rahmet ve rehber olarak gönderilen efendimiz (sav)'in
makamında durmaktır. Din görevlileri toplumu din
konusunda aydınlatan, her türlü güzellikte topluma
öncülük eden ve toplumun hayrı için çalışan seçkin
insanlardır. Bu nedenle onların bulunduğu bu
makamdan ötürü müslümanlar olarak bu makama
uygun düşmeyecek her türlü davranıştan ve sözden
uzak durmamız gerekir. Çünkü din görevlisine
gösterilen hürmet ve saygı aslında efendimiz (sav)'e
gösterilmiştir.
Kardeşlerim!
Değerlerimizin kıymetini bilelim. Camilerimize ve din
görevlilerimize sahip çıkalım. Camilerimizi ve din
hizmetini geliştirmek için her türlü çabayı gösterelim.
Unutmayalımki en iyi ve kalıcı çabamız ve çalışmamız
Allah yolunda ortaya koyduğumuz işlerimizdir. Bu
münasebetle bu mübarek mekanları bize bırakan ve
buralarda din hizmeti veren kardeşlerimizden ahirete
irtihal edenleri rahmetle anıyor, hayatta olanlara
rabbbimden sağlık ve sıhhat niyaz ediyorum.

Dear Brothers!
In Surah Al-Jinn ayah 18 Allah Almighty commands:
“And [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allah , so
do not invoke with Allah anyone.”
In a hadith our beloved Prophet (saw) states:
"Whosoever shares in building a masjid for Allah,
Allah (S.W.T.) will build for him a house in Paradise."
Dear Brothers!
A place of worship extends as far back as Hz Adam (as).
As per ayah 96 in Surah Ali’Imran, “Indeed, the first
House [of worship] established for mankind was that
at Makkah - blessed and a guidance for the worlds.”,
reports this fact. Surely, during every Prophets period
the place of sanctuary and architectural features may
have been different, however, it serves the same
purpose and call. This purpose and call, in whatever
situation or state we are in, serves as a way of worship
to the owner of all things, Allah.
Dear Brothers!
The sanctuary of our supreme religion Islam is the
mosque. One of the first duties our Prophet (saw)
undertook when emigrated to Medina was that he
layed the foundation of Masjid Nabawi. Later on
during the period the believers, who adhered to the
recommendation and education of the Prophet, made
mosques out of the buildings which they built with
carefullness and love. This is because in our culture the
mosque is the house of Allah. Therefore, it is deserving
of our respect and beauty. Mosques, should not be
built in poor quality in terms of its architecture. The
works of our ancestors are the most magnificent
mosques. Even today, one of the most admirable
places people from all over the world come and visit in
our countries are the mosques.
Dear Brothers!
Mosques are places that bring believers together.
Namely, they are places of unity, solidarity and
brotherhood. It is an exceptional place where the
divine duty of worshiping Allah takes place. Actions
which are not spiritually beneficial in the mosques
should not be done elsewhere. A person should be
engaged in prayer, reading the Quran, doing Tasbih,
and knowledge. Especially, any actions which may
stain the mosques abroad or leave the believers under
suspicion should be avoided. This is because the
mosques are the entire nations property and dignity.
They are not places where we act as we want.
Dear Brothers!
Our beloved Prophet (saw) worked to fulfill his
religious obligations in the mosque, acting as a
preacher and scholar. This task was very heavy and
honourable. Relgious scholars who enlighten people
about religion, who lead the community to all kinds of
beauty and work for the good of society are
outstanding people. Therefore, as Muslims we must
not fall to acts and ill speech that go against there
words. This is because a person who is assigned the
role of a religious scholar in essence is showing respect
to the Prophet (saw).
Dear Brothers!
Let us know the value of what we hold so dear to us.
Lets help wih our mosques and religious scholars. Lets
show effort to improve our mosques and religious
services. These are duties which we put forward in the
way of Allah. In connection to this, I pray to Allah that
those who have past away helping with the religious
services and leadership of this mosque and any other
mosque are poured with mercy and forgiveness, and
those among us with health and wellness.
