This club is designed to introduce students to a wide range of outdoor activities
that will challenge their abilities. During the year, such activities as hiking,
camping, rock climbing, ropes course, orienteering (map and compass), and team
building will be included. No experience is necessary.
We believe just knowing how to make smart decisions and invest your money
wisely is not the only way to success. Even if your product or idea is brilliant if
you don’t know how to advertise it, you won’t be relevant. Our club focuses on
teaching students about using modern day techniques to get publicity and make
name for yourself and your brand. We are going to analyze current trends and
look at what/who started them and the way they get so popular. We are also
going to examine icons to see what keeps them relevant and exciting for long
periods of time.
Open to students from L9-12 interested in word origins, ancient Rome and
possibly some gladiatorial techniques. No experience with the language is
necessary, but your English should be pretty solid. A genuine interest in history,
language and films is all that is needed. A very chill club - more fun than you
might think.

Art-şey Club will explore alternative artistic processes from performance to
installation and collaborative or other non-traditional ways of making. Students
will be required to apply the creative process to a variety of design and
exhibition methods.
Astronomy is about imagination. As the planet Earth has now been explored
almost to its fullest extent, space is the next logical place to go. We will be
exploring the universe (solar system, our Milky Way galaxy, and beyond!), and
looking at what is happening in the sky during the day and night through lab
activities, videos, and sky observations.

The Forensic Science Club teaches students many of the routine skills involved in
solving crimes. We have fun learning how to take fingerprints,footprints,hair
analysis,pollen analysis etc.
In the second semester students have more fun by solving each others crime
scene scenarios.
If you like CSI then this may be the club for you!
Bu kulüpte öğrenciler fütürizm felsefesi üzerine materyaller inceleyerek bu akımı
anlamaya ve okul kültürü içerisine yerleştirmeye çalışacaklar. Sene içerisinde
yapacakları fütürist senaryo, film çekimi gibi projelerle fikirlerin somutlaşmasına
ve daha çok kişinin dikkatini çekmeye çalışacaklar. Bunların dışında yurt içinde ve
yurt dışında yapılan fütürist yarışmalara ve etkinliklere katılmak konusunda da
çalışmalar yapılacaktır.
The RC girls basketball team is open to all girls interested in learning how to play
basketball and be part of a positive team environment. The team will practice
twice a week working on the fundamentals of basketball and stressing the
importance of hard work and teamwork. We will also compete in tournaments
and friendly matches all throughout the school year.

Promote the well-being of RC girls through learning the game, teamwork, and
being physically fit.
We are trying to make the RC Golf team. We like to participate the tournaments.
Trainings take place indoor, couple field trips to the courses through out the
year.
Learn to become a “Triple-Threat” performer! The Hamlin Players is a theatre
company whose sole focus will be Musical Theatre skills: singing, dancing, and
acting. In addition we will explore creative stage design and make-up effects
particular to famous musical performances.
During the Spring semester we will put on a Dinner Theatre performance to
showcase our awesome skills and raise money to donate to CIP’s of each
performer’s choice.
İstanbul gezileri yapmak, tarihle ilgili bir dizi etkinliğe katılmak (bazı Sosyal
bilimler günleri gibi) ve yıl sonunda da ürün oalrak yıllardan beri çıkan RC tarih
dergisini hazırlamak. Dergi akademik yazım anlamında da öğrencilere yardımcı
olmayı hedefliyor. Yine kulüp bağlamında okula konuk davet ederek bir takım

RC İnteract Kulübü , İstanbul Rotary’nin sponsorluğunda gençler için bir hizmet
kulübüdür.Kulüp üyelerinin ilgilerine bağlı olarak
çeşitli projeler ve etkinlikler organize ederler.
Interact programı içinde İstanbul ve farklı ülke- şehirlerdeki kulüpleri ile işbirliği
yaparak her yıl en az iki proje hazırlar, İstanbul Rotary ve Rotaract kulüpleri ile
ortak çalışmalar yapar.
Amacı: Gençlerin liderlik yeteneklerini geliştirmek, kendi toplumlarına hizmet
etmek ve uluslararası interact kulüpleri ile ortak proje ve öğrenci değişimi

A certain experience with acoustic instruments (guitar, mandoline, harmonica,
flute...) is necessary.
Students will be both investigating the unique Japanese culture and the
language. Half of the club will be cultural research and discussion, the other half
will be a language education based on that week's cultural topic. This will
broaden the cultural perspective and language skills of the students. Origami will
be a big part of it as well. We will have field trips to Japanese Garden and to
Japanese Restaurants etc. to experience the culture from first hand.

Kulüp çalışmasıyla amaçlanan öğrencilerin Türkçe okul gazetesi yayınlamalarıdır.
Gazeteyi yayına hazırlama sürecinde öğrenciler, RC camiasını ilgilendiren
haberleri derleyip bunları yazılı olarak ilgi çekici bir biçimde haber haline getirme
becerilerini ortya koyacaklardır.
The Language Club will be for students willing to spend their after school time
learning languages. It will hold two sessions per week. The first session will be on
Wednesday after school. It will be for students wishing to do a self-study of the
language. Attendance for this session will be mandatory. There will be teachers
from RC helping them in their endeavours. They will also cooperate with other
students and students studying the same language will act as language partners.
On Thursday, a tutor out of school will give formal lessons on a language voted on
by the club (like Chinese, Spanish or Russian). Students who are interested in
attending this session will be required to attend every session. They will also be
paying for the tutor and the resources used by the tutor.The language focus for
the Thursday after-school session would depend on interest.
The Prep Debate club introduces LP students to the art and skills of formal
debating. Each week students will practice debating on a wide range of topics
This is a co-ed club for LP students who are willing to regularly play tennis on
outside courts throughout the year.
Each week students are expected to change and actively play the game with all
the other members of the club by doing: singles, doubles, using the wall,
cooperative, competitive.
Students will need their own tennis racket.

new mathematical concepts to them.
One purpose of the club is development of mathematical skills of school. Second
purpose of this club is to help students who are struggling with math, to have a

MUN is a political simulation/roleplaying club that allows students to practise
diplomacy in English.
The main focus of the musicianship club will be to prepare students for the
Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) grade 5 Theory exam in
Feb/March 2016. The entry fee for this exam is approximately 40 pounds per
person. Buying the workbooks needed to prepare for the exam is essential,
approx. 30 pounds in total. The club will prepare students for this exam, covering
harmony, composition and general musical knowledge. This club requires
students to do work at home, approximately 1.5 hour per week. At the end of
the year, students will have a formal music qualification and they really will have
learned something which will improve music-making.

their clubs. The skills learned are speaking, lobbying, social interaction, etc.

RC Film Academy members learn and develop basic elements of filmmaking
including all aspects of pre-production, shooting, editing, and screening. Club
members are expected to work as part of a team and participate in all phases of
the filmmaking process. Experience is not required, but a passion for visual arts
and storytelling is helpful. A willingness to take risks is a must!

experiment, build and invent as they deeply engage in science, engineering and
tinkering. In maker labs, you often have 3D printers, design software, electronics,

RC Robotics Team is for students who would like to attend many robotics
competitions to represent Robert College and race with other Turkish and
International schools for huge prizes.
Come run off some stress and stay fit with RC Runners! Make friends, learn about
running form and health, and add to your individual training program. We’ll run
one day per week after school.
For those who are interested, this club will also have a couple of Belgrade Forest
runs as well. Dedicated runners will be invited to represent RC in the InterSchool
League Races and we can organize to be a part of public runs in Istanbul as well.

Filmlere farklı bir gözle bakmaya başlamak ister misiniz? Sinemaya yaklaşımınızı
değiştirecek olan bu kulüp çalışmasında amaç sinemanın temel kavramlarını
tanıtıp çağdaş film gramerini kavramaya dair pratik geliştirmek. Her hafta
birbirinden farklı filmlerden gösterilecek sahneler eşliğinde kamera, ışık, kurgu,
ses, oyunculuk gibi sinemasal anlatım öğeleri ayrı ayrı ve nihayetinde bir bütün
olarak incelenecek. Filmlerin hep gözümüzün önünde duran kodlarını okumayı
öğrenirken klasiklerden çağdaş örneklere birçok film masaya yatırılacaktır.
Türk Sinemasından seçilen filmler üzerinden, toplumun siyasal, toplumsal ve
sosyolojik altyapısını incelemek, sinema-edebiyat arasındaki bağa dikkat çekmek
amaçlanır. Kulüp, Türk Sinemasında birbirinden farklı tarzlara sahip
yönetmenlerin, farklı dönem ve türlerde, kendi anlatı dillerini nasıl kurduklarına
