ARŞIN GÖLGESİNDEKİ GENÇLİK
Aziz Kardeşlerim!
Okuduğum ayet-i kerimede Yüce Rabbimiz şöyle
buyuruyor: “Ey Rabbimiz! Eşlerimizi ve çocuklarımızı
bize göz aydınlığı kıl ve bizi Allah’a karşı gelmekten
sakınanlara önder eyle.”1

Sevgili
Peygamberimiz (s.a.s) şöyle buyuruyor: “İnsanoğluna
beş şeyden hesap sorulmadıkça kıyamet günü hiçbir
tarafa hareket etmeyecektir; Ömrünü nerede ve nasıl
tükettiğinden, gençliğini nerde yıprattığından, malını
nerden kazanıp nerde harcadığından öğrendiği
bilgilerle yaşayıp yaşamadığından.”2
Rabbimizin davetine icabet edip onun beytıne
misafir olan Rahmanın misafirleri..!
Cumanız mübarek olsun. İzninizle bugün özellikle
aramızda bulunan genç kardeşlerimize seslenmek
istiyorum.
Sevgili Gençler!
Rabbimizin Cuma namazı davetine icabet ettiğiniz
gibi, asırlar önce alemlere rahmet Hâtemü'l-Enbiyâ
Efendimizin İslam davetine, iman çağrısına icabet
edenler olmuştu. Hz. Ali, Zeyd b. Harise, Ammar b.
Yasir, Sa’d b. Ebi Vakkas, Mus’ab b. Umeyr, Habeşli
Bilal gibi.
Mekke’nin gençleri bu kutlu davete icabet
edenlerdendi. İman edip İslam’la şereflendikleri andan
itibaren son nefeslerine kadar Allah ve Resulüne itaat ve
İslama hizmet yolunda büyük bir gayret gösterdiler..
Erkam’ın evinde gizlice yapılan Kur’an derslerinde,
Kabe’nin gölgesinde cemaatle ilk kılınan namazda, hicret
yolculuğunda, Mescid-i Nebevi’nin inşasında, Bedir’de,
Uhud’da, Hendek’te, Resulullah’ın yanında hep bu
gençleri görüyoruz.
Kardeşlerim!
Efendimiz (s.a.s), hicretle Medine’yi yurt edinince
ilk iş olarak inşa ettiği mescidin bir bölümünü, eğitim ve
öğretim için tahsis etmiştir. Allah Resulü, buradaki ilk
İslam mektebinde ki suffe ehlinden nice ilim sahibi
gençler yetiştirmiştir. Gün gelmiş bu gençlerden Hz.
Ali’yi Yemen kadılığı, Muaz b. Cebel’i Yemen valiliği,
Zeyd b. Sabit’i vahiy katipliği, Üsame’yi ordu
komutanlığı gibi stratejik görevlere getirmiştir. O, bu
uygulamalarıyla “size güvenim sonsuzdur” mesajını
vermiştir.
Genç Kardeşlerim!
Bu kudsi mekanlardan aldığınız ruh ve ilhamla,
iman ve cesaretle Yüce Mevla’nın; “Onlar Rablerine
inanmış birkaç genç yiğitti. Biz de onların
hidayetlerini artırmıştık.3 methine mazhar olan,
bugünün Ashab-ı Kehf’i, ilim ve irfanıyla Ashab-ı
Suffa’sı olmak zorundayız.
Sevgili gençler!
Siz gözünü kıskançlık bürüyen, nefretine yenik
düşen ve hiç düşünmeden kardeşini öldüren Kabil değil,
“Sen beni öldürmek için bana elini uzatsan da ben
seni öldürmek için sana elimi uzatacak değilim.”4
diyen Habil olacak, en büyük cihadın kişinin kendi
nefsiyle mücadelesi olduğunu yaşayarak ortaya
koyacaksınız.
Siz İsmail olacaksınız. Canını tereddütsüz Allah
yoluna kurban edecek kadar gözü pek ve teslimiyetli;
“Babacığım emrolunduğun şeyi yap” diyecek kadar
anne-babaya itaatkar ve hürmetli; “şüphesiz beni
sabredenlerden bulacaksın”5 duruşuyla azimli ve
kararlı bir kul olacaksınız.
Siz Yusuf olacaksınız. Dünyanın bütün gayr-i
meşru arzuları önünüzde arz-ı endam etse dönüp
bakmayan, “ben Allah’a sığınırım”6 diyerek edep ve
iffetine sahip çıkan Allah’a iman ve sadakatten
ayrılmayan onurlu gençler olacaksınız.
Düşmanlıkları dostluk ve kardeşliğe, kin ve
nefretleri merhamet ve muhabbete, ayrılık ve tefrikaları
birlik ve beraberliğe dönüştüren siz olacaksınız. Siz annebabasının amel defterini kıyamete dek kapatmayan,
arkalarından hayır dualarla yâd ettiren salih evlatlar
olacaksınız.
Unutmayın ki siz, alem-i İslam’ın ümidisiniz.
Sevinip mutlu olun ki siz, “Rabbine ibadetle yetişen
gençler
kıyamette
Allah’ın
arşı
altında
gölgelenecekler”7 buyuran Nebinin müjdesisiniz.
Sevgili Gençler!
Sizler Çanakkalede dini, imani, vatani ve namusu
için gözünü kırpmadan can veren mehmetçiklerin
torunlarısınız! Günümüzde de aynı ruhla ve heyecanla
vatanı bayrağı ve kutsal değerlerimizi, canınızdan aziz
bilmelisiniz. Cephede bile cemaatı namazı bırakmadıkları
gibi sizlerde camilerimizin gülleri olmalısınız. Musab
olmalısınız Ali olmalısınız.
Değerli Büyükler!
Tıpkı sevgili peygamberimiz gibi biz de
gençlerimize muhabbet ve güvenimizi göstermekten
çekinmeyelim. Her bir delikanlımızın ve genç kızımızın
Allah’a layık kul, Resulullaha layık ümmet, ebeveyne
hayırlı evlat, kendini İslam’a ve insanlığa hizmete
adamış, peygamberi bir duruşla İslam davasına gönül
veren, gençler olmaları için dua edelim.
Honourable Brothers!
In Surat Al-Furqan ayah 74 Almighty Allah
commands: And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us
from among our wives and offspring comfort to our
eyes and make us an example for the righteous."
In a hadis our beloved prophet (saw) said: "The
two feet of the son of Adam will not move from near
his Lord on the Day of Judgement until he is asked
about five (matters):- 1) about his life - how he spent
it; 2) about his youth - how he took care of it; 3) about
his wealth - how he earned it; 4) and where he spent
it; 5) and about that which he acted upon from the
knowledge that he acquired."
Honourable guests, Juma mubarek to you. With
your permission, I would like to call out especially to our
young brothers today.
Dear Young Brothers!
Just as you accept the invitation from our Lord of
the Juma prayer, centuries ago the merciful Hâtemü'lEnbiyâ was he who invited to Islam and payed heed to
the call of faith. Just like Hz. Ali, Zayd b. Harisa, Ammar
b. Yasir, Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas, Mus'ab b. As Umair, and
the Ethiopian Bilal.
These are some of the young people in Mecca who
answered to this blessed call. From the time they believed
and honoured Islam until there last breath they obeyed
Allah and His Messenger, showed great service to Islam
and strived on the road of service. We have seen all these
young people next to the Messenger of Allah who
secretly had Quranic lessons in the house of the notable,
performed in congregation the first prayer in the shadows
of the Kaaba, joined in the Hijra, Badr, Uhud, and the
construction of Masjid Nabawi.
Brothers!
When the prophet (saw) undertook Hijra one of the
first jobs inside the constructed Masjid Nabawi was to
allocate a portion of the mosque for education and
training. From this first place of schooling the Messenger
of Allah educated the youth of Islam. A time came when
these young people bought and possessed a strong
position, such as Hz Ali the leader of Yemen, Muaz b.
Jabal the governor of Yemen, Zaid b. Thabit the scribe
and clerk of the revelation, and Usama the commander of
the army. Then, with this application he (saw) put forth
his message of trust towards them.
Young Brothers!
With the spirit and inspiration you get of faith and
courage from the story of the companions of the cave, we
have to possess the knowledge and wisdom similar to
them, where Almighty Allah states in Surat Al-Kahf ayah
13: “It is We who relate to you, [O Muhammad], their
story in truth. Indeed, they were youths who believed
in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.”
Dear Young Brothers!
Those who fall into the clothing of Jealousy and
are victim to hate and the thought of killing his brother
without thinking are presented with an example and
solution in what Habil said to his brother in Surat AlMa’idah ayah 28 which states: “If you should raise your
hand against me to kill me - I shall not raise my hand
against you to kill you. Indeed, I fear Allah , Lord of
the worlds.” The greatest jihad of a person is the struggle
between himself and his desires.
You youth have to be like Ismail. You have to be
servants who without hesitation submit himself like
Ismail did during the sacrifice when he said to his father,
“O father do what you are commanded”, showing
obedience and respect to his parents, where he displayed
patience, determination and commitment.
You youth have to be like Yusuf. We have to be
honoured young people like him who says, “I seek
refuge in Allah”, and be one who does not deviate from
modesty, decency and loyalty in faith. You will be those
who convert hostility to friendship and brotherhood,
hatred into mercy and love, and seperation to unity and
cooperation. You will be righteous sons who make dua
for your parents as this act provides good deeds for them
until the day of resurrection.
Remeber that you are the hope for the Islamic
world. Our beloved prophet (saw) mentions that the
youth who grew up in the worship of Allah will be
shaded under the throne of Allah.
Dear Young People!
You are the grandchildren of those who served in
Canakkale for there religion, faith, honour, and nation
without hesitation. Today, you must know and
incorporate the same spirit and enthusiasm for your
homeland and sacred values. You have to be in the
forefront of our mosques.
Dear Seniors!
Just like our beloved prophet (saw), lets not shy
away from showing our youth affection and confidence.
Lets make dua for each young men and women to be a
worthy slave to Allah, a worthy person in the nation of
Resulullah, a good son and daughter to parents,
dedication to the service of humanity and Islam, and
devotion to the prophet and Islam.
