January 1, 2016 begins a new era in the Ukrainian business life – the Agreement on a free trade zone between the EU and Ukraine is entering its force. It
is, indeed, a great step towards strengthening the import/export relations of our
country with the European Union. After a year of unilateral trade preferences
that were given to Ukraine, the EU turned into one of our main trade partners –
it accounts for almost the third of the Ukrainian export. At the same time, we all
realize that such trade regulations are a considerable challenge for the Ukrainian exporter. Nevertheless, experience has shown that Ukrainian companies are
willing to overcome the export barriers, increase the quality standards of their
products, to align the domestic enterprises with the EU standards.
We expect that after entering the EU market, Ukraine will have access to other
major markets; we also expect a significant influx of investments. The cooperation with European companies requires a modernization of the industry from
our manufacturers, and money should be invested into that. This will contribute to the quality of products and the energy efficiency of the enterprises. We
also understand that the Agreement on a free trade zone entering its force will
contribute to the appearance of European products on the Ukrainian market.
This is exactly why Europe has a great interest in contributing to Ukraine’s development for its purchasing power to increase.
Experts predict that the first results of the Agreement entering its force will be
seen in one and a half year. Moreover, we hope that both parties – Ukraine and the
European Union – will be satisfied with these results. Because we have gone a long
way to reach this point, we have been preparing ourselves to it, repeatedly confirming that we are ready to become an equal partner of the European Union.

U
kraine, a country with an export-oriented economy, had to reorganize its exporting
policy at a frantic pace last year. We started exporting less metal while the export
of agricultural products increased. It was predictable, but there are some indicators
that nobody even thought of. We asked some experts from the Sales Capital AG
consulting company to provide us with the most essential data about the Ukrainian export in
2014, which we designed in clear charts and maps.

agricultural products increased. It was predictable, but there are some indicators that
nobody even thought of. We asked some
experts from the Sales Capital AG consulting company to provide us with the most
essential data about the Ukrainian export
in 2014, which we designed in clear charts
and maps.
THE EXPORT MADE UP
HALF OF THE GDP
This is the most important chart. It shows how
important healthy export relationships are for
Ukraine as half of our GDP consists of export
(49%). Despite the success of certain sectors in
export, there are, unfortunately, even more problems. In particular, without fundamental reforms
of the regulatory environment and the eradication
of corruption Ukraine will not be able to get the
most from the trade and economic preferences of
the EU. Of course, if we think about a 37% decline
of the export in Russia, then the increase of 13%
into the EU looks rather optimistic. However, the
GDP in 2014 fell by 6.5%, and in 2015, the IMF
analysts predict a drop of another 5.5%.

Some claims of the high-rank officials and
various experts were not once assuring that
the devaluation of the national currency will
positively impact the growth of the Ukrainian export. From the economic theory, it is
true. However, the economic theory does
not consider the political risks.
Because of the Eastern conflict, as well as
the economic and political instability within the country, and finally a slow reforming
policy, the export in 2014 decreased by 14%
(or 9 billion $) when compared to 2013. The
largest export decline can be seen in industry (20%) and machine construction (17%).
Most of those products were traditionally
being exported to the Russian Federation,
that is why no growth of export in the near
future is to be expected. On the other hand,
the loss of the Russian market can be viewed
as an incentive for Ukrainian manufacturers to modernize the production process
and develop new markets.
While the metallurgy, chemical industry and machine engineering experience
a “Brezhnev stagnation”, the agricultural
sector is being fully reconstructed. Exactly
these products remain the main engine of
the Ukrainian exports and the foreign currency income source.
In 2014, the exports volume of crops grew
by 3%, while the export of food products
residue and animal feeds broke the record
of 2014 and grew by 20%. The development
of this sector, even in times of crisis can be
contributed to several facts, among which
mainly are the trade preferences and EU
quota, as well as the activities of the Ministry of agrarian policy directed towards the
reforming of this economy sector. When
other problems in the agricultural sector
will be overcome, such as poor infrastructure and the lack of farmers’ free access to
financing, it will start developing even more
dynamically.

M
yronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP)
is a leading commercial poultry
producer in Ukraine and one of
the largest and most efficient crop
production companies in the country with the
60% share of this market as of 2014 (data by
the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine). As
of today, MHP uses 380,000 hectares of land
for farming. The main areas of the company’s
business include: poultry breeding and concomitant production processes (production
of broiler chicken, ready-to-eat poultry products and sunflower oil); crop growing (corn,

ing farms fully meet the MHP poultry farms’

MHP is the largest exporter of poultry and
poultry products in Ukraine. In 2014, MHP
exported over 150,000 tons of poultry to
CIS countries, Asia, the Middle East, Africa
and the EU. In 2015, the company plans to
further increase both the turnover and geography of export.
Considering Ukraine’s highly advantageous geographic location for exports to
the EU and Balkan, Middle Eastern and
Persian Gulf states, our company is interested in searching for and establishing lasting business relationships with companies
in the CIS and beyond – from the EU to
South-East Asia (China, Singapore, Vietnam and other countries). Deliveries to almost any EU state take 7 days at the most,
and to some countries of the Middle East
and North Africa from 7 to 14 days.
MHP’s strategic export product groups include frozen poultry (whole and cut broiler
chicken), ready-to-eat poultry products and
foie gras.

Accreditation of MHP’s production companies for exports to the EU (there are only
two companies of this kind in Ukraine)

and Vinnytsia Poultry Farms meet the

For over two years, we have been successfully exporting our foods to EU states, consistently proving our competitive edge and
high level of quality.
One of our company’s key export areas is
ready-to-eat poultry products exported
under the Qualiko brand. The production capacity of Lehko Myronivka Meat
Processing Plant has a huge potential that
can be realized in cooperation with partners in HoReCa business.
MHP plants producing semi-finished meat
products and foie gras are also accredited
for exports to the EU, thus becoming the
only ones of this kind not only in Ukraine
but in the entire CIS. For over a year, these
plants have been shipping their products to
EU states.
One of the extremely important aspects
of our poultry export business is the procurement of accreditation in Saudi Arabia and entering the local market. MHP’s
more long-term goals include accreditation in and entry onto markets of China
and Japan.

he company was founded in 2006 in
Kyiv. Two years later, it already became an official representative of the
trademarks DAB PUMPS SpA (Italy)
and HOMA PUMPEN FABRIK GMBH
(Germany). In 2008 the Founder decided
to step forward and launch his own production, create a service department that would
specialize in construction, testing and commissioning, equipment repairing, warranty
and post-warranty maintenance.

ONTRRUST is a single-component
rust modifier-preserving agentprimer having super penetrating
power, high-performance, nontoxic, environmentally safe for human and
ambient.
Rust modifier «Contrrust» (RM) is used as
an all-purpose primer, passivator, preservative, first primer layer having a good adhesion to the surface prepared minimum to
D state (ISO 8501- 01 and GOST 9.402-80)
and shop primer.
According to the manufacturer’s instructions it can be made without any strict restrictive requirements to the environmental conditions (in the normal conditions
in the facilities of equipment repair and
maintenance).
«Contrrust» is composed of the following
main components: bark extracts (tannin),
acids (succinic acid, citric acid, oxalic acid)
and other acids, demineralised water containing silver ions.
It’s produced in three versions: a) liquid;
b) viscous substance; c) powder.
It’s free of any toxic elements such as lead or
zinc chromate, phosphate acid and safe for
human health and life during its production
and use.
It’s non-flammable, easy to use, external actions resistant. It can be applied in
any way (DSTU-ISO 4618: 2014). It can
be used in the hard-to-get-to and inaccessible places of any geometry and can
replace the first primer layer. It can be
easily applied to welds, as well as adhesive and solid scale, having a good diffusion it blocks the corrosion centers of
the metal holes.
Overall processing time of modification is
120 min.
Any loss of iron is fully lack when using
MP «Contrrust» and transformed rust is
converted into adhesive and strong film. So,
this technology can be rightly considered as
«hi-tech» technology.

technological process to protect the surface before painting of 1m2 is up to 50%

his is a diversified enterprise which
main activity is providing services
of grain preservation, meal mixture preparing and soy refinement
products preparing; namely, full-fat soya
beans, cossetted soya and soybean oil meal.
The current preservation capacity comprises 27 thousand tons.

In 2012 the LLC «KRUK» was awarded the
status «Best Enterprise of the Year» according to the international economic rating
«The League of the Best» and got a corresponding international certificate. In 2015,
within the framework of the «National

LLC «KRUK» offers a wide range of high

Soybean meal is a product obtained by
processing soybeans after extracting of oil
from soybean seeds. It is used for producing high quality feeds and feed mixtures as
a proper protein ingredient by feeding farm
animals and poultry.
The product meets the requirements of TC
U 10.9-22593940-002:2012 «Extruded fullfat thermoprocessed soya».
Crude soybean oil is obtained by processing
soybeans – this is a product for preparing
energy-enriched feeds.
The product meets the requirements of
DSTU 4534:2006 «Unrefined soybean oil».
Feed mixtures are mixtures of natural crops
chopped and cooked by a special technology. The product meets the requirements
of TC U 10.9 22593940-001:2012 «Feed
mixture».
