Name of the Project: Fuelling Our Future - Hydrogen
Introduction and Aim:
“Fuelling Our Future” is a Project that aims to introduce an alternative fuel that is expected to
replace non-renewable fossil fuels, Hydrogen. The main purpose of the project is to raise awareness
in the participants about such a highly regarded fuel alternative for the future.
Method and Materials
The project includes;

a virtual representation, which will be a poster about probable uses of hydrogen in the future
and today, possible means of its production, its advantages and disadvantages against fossil
fuels and predictions about its usage in the near future,

a practical demonstration of a means of producing hydrogen, the electrolysis of water. The
demonstration will comprise electrolysis of water, collection of hydrogen and a practical use
of the hydrogen which will be produced during the project- most probably burning it to heat
up water.
Results
As a result “Fuelling Our Future” will get its participants to know about a clean and safe fuel that is
expected to be in public use in the near future.
