line of his life with the students and later he advised them to

cooperation of World Newspaper and ve DHL. via this great
ceremony, arranged in the 10th year, the awards have
reached to the owners. in all around Turkey, 25 successfull
exporter received awards in 7 categories. Orhan Holding has
been rewarded with “2011 the star of exports” awards due to
its 200 Milyon Euro yearly export and entities in 13 countries.
While Turkish airlines getting “10th Great award” , Eregli
Demir Çelik has been awarded with “Exports Performance
Award” The event which attracted many exporters, started
with a great cocktail at The Marmara Taksim Hotel. in the
ceremony the companies, having received awards, were
represented at the top level.

HR Specialists
In scope of the "Talent Management" project currently run
in the organization of Hay Group, we had our first step to
understand how we see the culture now, and how we believe
it should be in the future. For this reason, we started our
project with Organizational Culture Survey, provided by Hay
Group in the first half of 2012. As part of this Project, on 13
June 2012 Wednesday at Orhan Holding Central building, we
organized a HR workshop with the participation of HR
specialists in Turkey and also the ones in France, Mexico,
Spain and Slovakia. The workshop, which two consultants of
Hay Group coordinated, started with the introduction and
discussions in group studies, presentations and exchange
views At the end of the HR workshop, a dinner was
organized with the participation of HR speclalists. in the
evening, which participants had joy accompanied by music
and delicious dinner, all enjoyed their times and in order to
immortalize the night, photos were taken
Assistants are at breakfast…
After busy and tiring working days, Orhan Holding assistants
had a chance to meet at breakfast organization by Hilton
Hotel. The assistants who have been working with each
other for years without meeting in person, also had
enjoyable time to talk to each other by the accompaniment
of peaceful ambience
during this period they had fun and enjoyed by knowing each
other very closely.when the workshop began, with the point
of view of HR specialists; they discussed on Talent and
career management and planning, HR strategies, the
structure of HR working model, organization chart and also
the important process of HR. Later group studies were done
and the presentation that each grup prepared, was
presented and shared with the others. synergy among the
HR specialists in the companies was created by the

Football Tournament
16th Traditional Orhan Holding Football tournament started
with the particpation of the 6 teams. As a result of the
lotteries, the teams were divided as A and B groups.
in A group Orda, S›la Teknik and Teknik Malzeme, in B group;
Matay, Ormetal and Aunde Teknik took place.
With the participation of 110 children, having membership of
Orhan Holding children club, 6 teams were also created as A
and B groups for children. in A group Red, White and
Turquoise teams, in B group Blue, Green and Orange teams
took place.
After all arrangements,16th Orhan Holding traditional
Football tournamet started on 06 May 2012 Sunday in DOSAB
sports facilities with a great opening ceremony and the
matches started with Orhan Holding Chairman Murat Orhan’s
first kick.
At the end of exciting and challenging matches for 3 weeks, in
A group S›la Teknik became the first and Teknik Malzeme got
the second; in B group Matay got the championship and
Aunde Teknik was the second.
in accordance with the statue, A group’s first needs to
challenge with B group’s second; while B group’s champion
needs to play with A group’s second.
in 4th week S›la Teknik become the first finalist by winnig
Aunde Teknik 3-1. in the next match Matay, winning Teknik
Malzemei 4-3, became the second finalist. As a result the
name of the final match was fixed as SILA TEKN‹K – MATAY.
Teknik Malzeme and Aunde Teknik teams qualified of playing
3rd and 4th matches.

the final matches. Green team and blue team qualified of
playing 3rd and 4th matches. Football tourament which
started on 06 May 2012 Sunday with a great cremeony,
finished on 03 June 2012 Sunday with an exciting closing
ceremony after the matches for 5 weeks.

At the end of the matches, awards and plates were presented
to the winning teams and the goal kings of the tournament
we would like to thank for all, who efforted to create such an
exciting tournament and for the ones, who participated in this
tournament

Orhan Holding Bowling Tournament
We carried out our 2012 Orhan Holding Traditional Bowling
Tournament on 30 / 03 / 2012 Friday evening at Cosmic
Bowling in Beflevler Carefoursa. After the great challenging,
Matay 1 team became the champion with the score of 669.
Because Nobel Automotive 2 and Sıla Teknik 4 team had the
same score 634, pitches had to be done by five of each team
and as a result Nobel Automotive 2 team became the
second and Sıla Teknik 4 team got the third.
At first the champions among the men were Seçkin
Daflkıran from Matay 1 and Yakup Yakın from ile Sıla Teknik
4 team with the same score 159. it was requested to go on
lottery to fix the champion among the men, Seçkin Daflkıran
became the champion among the men.
Among women, with 118 score Emine fiengil from Aunde
Teknik 2 team became the champion. Awards and plates
were given to winning teams and also individual successull
ones in a great ceremony.
We wish success for the awarded ones and looking forward
to meetting in next year's tournament.

Quality Achievement Awards
Trainings
In our fabric factory; the awards for quality achievement for
year 2011 / 3rd Period was given to Circular Knitting unit
employees Ismail Akdemir and Engin Senel with an award
ceremony. We congratulate our employees and we wish
them continued success.
In January; all employees within the company took "IMS
General Information Education". Further; on April "First Aid
Update Training" and "Forklift Training" was given.
In order to give information to our employees; our Factory
Doctor and Safety Specialists gave "Basic Occupational
Safety and Use of Personal Protective Equipment Training"
to our employees in Aunde Teknik; Aunde Teknik Fabric
Upholstery Production Plant; Isringhausen and Aunde
Technical Bodyworks Factory.
To all our employees in Aunde Teknik cover factory; "Basic
Safety Training," was given by Safety Specialist in January.
08 March International Women’s Day
We celebrated 08 March International Women's Day with all
our women employees. On this special day; roses has been
handed out to all our female employees.
In April; "VDA 6.3 Process Control Education" has been held
at our company as an in-house training and our Sales &
Engineering, Quality, Production and Logistics sections has
participated.
As of March, presentations were made by department
managers to all our white-collar employees at our company
in order to inform about the process of the departments.

23rd April National Sovereignty and
Children's Day Event
Bowling Tournament
As usual; 23rd April National Sovereignty and Children's
Day has been celebrated with our employees' children who
are going to nursery. It was very nice to watch the children
who are setting their shows to their mothers. After the
performance, all the children continue to enjoy themselves
at the canteen where is decorated for them and they eat tiny
cakes and receive their gifts. After all these events; all the
children left our factory with a pleasure.
On 30 March 2012; Conventional Orhan Holding Bowling
Tournament has been held at Cosmic Bowling Hall of
Carrefour. nine teams has participated in this tournament
From Aunde Teknik and Isringhausen factories. It was a very
joyful night for all the participators.

13.05.2012 in Teknik Oto Bursa 1 showrooms. in this great
event; in Teknik Oto Eskiflehir barbecue party and test drivings
have been given to for the attendees. in Teknik Oto Bursa 1,
Arda’s kitchen and May Fest sweet were served and test
drivings activities were carried out.

Our annual year-end assessment

Our company get together in a new year dinner.We had
some fun and made a good start again. We have very good
memories about the night. we started the New Year with full
of moral.
We have held our annual year-end assessment meeting which
is based on activities during the year. Starting with the
presentations, followed the reward ceremony for the
employees who exhibited outstanding performance. Finally, we
have enjoyed good taste of appetizers while welcoming 2012.

Matay was awarded with work health and safety
certificate "OHSAS 18001" by BV We have been
following OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 standards
since 2005. System has been crowned after the
audit. Also learned many new knowledge due

Our Quality Manager Mrs. Gonca Tiknaz has completed
evaluation process for EFQM auditor. She was the auditor
for 2011 awarded process in Bursa.
Kaizen informational presentation
On April 4th , Kaizen informational presentation was
presented to all employees by Continious Improvement
Department. Next, Serdar Kutlu and Ozan Buyruk , who
completed their trainings successfully , were rewarded with
6 Sigma black belt certificates.

Strategic Workforce Planning
Environment Day at Nobel Automotive
With great enthusiasm,
employees from Nobel
participated in
Environment Day last April
21st by planting trees in
the Industrial Park where
the company is located. We
started with a small
gathering ,by the end all
participants were able to
take with them small stem
which are to plant back at
their homes.
In 2010 Nobel Plastiques Vitry participated in a campaign of
“Strategic Workforce Planning” which was organised by
locally based companies and institutions. In the context of
this project, a number of assessments of abilities and skills
were proposed. 74 persons of our staff, permanent and
temporary, participated at this stage. This was followed by
individual tests of employability, accompanied by analyses of
the workstations and respective work situations and
resulted in mapping the expected qualifications. 23
candidates started this part of the project, but only 7 of them
carried on and committed themselves to an individual
accreditation of their working skills. The successful
conclusion of their involvement, was rewarded by obtaining
a diploma acknowledging their qualification as Industrial
Manufacturing Operator. This diploma is closely related to
the specific products manufactured in Vitry-le-Francois,
bringing forward the proficiency of the operators in forming
the tubes in different processes, by hot air, high
temperature steam or hot water as well as the assembly of
complex work pieces.
During a small celebration in the presence of representants
of the institutions having accompanied our staff during their
projet, Fabien PORIGNAUX, handed over the diplomas,
congratulating each of them for her or his commitment.
Mother´s Day at Nobel Automotive
On Saturday, May 26,2012, Nobel Automotive SLP had the
opportunity to celebrate a very important event which is
“Mother’s Day.”
This time, the celebration also included “Father’s Day”, so
all staff, outsourced,employees and operators were invited
to enjoy delicious food and a great Mariachi performance,
which is a local tradition music in México.

Orcia Realised a Pionership in Kütahya
Our company’s support for female workers continues at every
area,since %86 of employees are women. Our company made
an agreement with Süper Çocuk Krefli (Süper Child Day Care
Center ) and began to provide Day-Care service for employees’
children .Regional Labour Manager ,Employment Office
Manager and Chairman of KUTSO (Kütahya Chamber of Trade
and Industry) made speeches at the opening meeting held on
11 th of April 2012,and congratulated Orcia for this pionership
in Kütahya and declared their wishes for increasing this kind of
services in Kütahya .The press also gave great importance and
place for this opening ceremony continuing with folkloric
dances ,distribution of gifts to children by guests and cocktail
at the end.

We move two steps higher this year, we were seventh

K›z›lay Blood Donation
A celebration ceremony was arranged for the staffs of the
month and year on 27/01/2012. in the ceremony a few
examples of Kaizen studies were introduced and greenbelts
certificates were presented to the colleagues whose
projects are still on going. Also the colleagues, who, have
10 years of experience in Orda, were honored with a plaque
by our General Manager Hakan Doyran.
We had a blood donation to K›z›lay on 19/01/2012 in our
plant. We are thankfull to all volunteers for their sensitivity.

First Aid and Chemical Waste Practise
We had a practice with our employees and plant doctor on
19/04/2012. It helped us the refresh our knowledge.
The education was carried out with all shifts during January.

Ormetal Maintenance Management System
Fast-growing industry, machine-based production is increasing.
To keep pace in today's competitive conditions, efficiency is
one of the most important factor. Therefore, how efficiently
we use the machine, also can ensure that as much profit.
For using the machine in an efficient and long lasting,
you must maintain at the right time, the correct way
and fastest. However, all the while, the details of the
each works is applied and planned must be
registered as accurate, reliable and effective. Only
in this way the system can be controlled,
managed and developed. Because of today's
computer age, making the all of
them is the most rational
solution.

We have received a decision from
there in 2011. Our goal is
eliminating the all the
maintenance management
system which is paper based,
non-clear data, instead of that,
doing faster, easier, more reliable and more systematic
maintenance management system by computer aided program.
At first, we agreed the appropriate program for us. After we
prepared necessary data for the program, and integrated it to
our factory system. As of 20 January 2012 all breakdown
notifications can be done computers within the factory.
Through the program, the person who is writing the notification,
is only selecting his name and faulty equipment number from

how to prevent occurring machine failure, and how the
maintenance process can improve.
At the moment, the new program, only the breakdown
notification system is activated. But, thanks to ours employees
to adapt very quickly, their positive comments and contributions
to new system, we believe that both the missing can improve
better, as well as the planned maintenance system that works
is ongoing will be activated quickly.
When all the works about the new system will complete, we
will adapt the same system to our moulding department. Thus,
we wil keep pace with our factories that is growing and
developing rapidly.

Ormetal Line Management Studies
Lean management is a part of the line process. We have
made a big improvement in 2011 on the Ormetal spring lines
with the lean line studies. But it isn’t enough. Our target for
2012 first quarter Line Management tools will be used and
our mission and vision will be expanded toward to each
employee.
To continuous improvement our main goal is bring into the
job employee together with managers and engineers.
Before the start to lean management studies, from “Yal›n
Enstitü Derne¤i” Mr.Murat Bedük gave us trainings.
We had visited to Karsan and Çimtafl with our quality manager,
production chief, team leaders. We joined their meetings so
we have experience about quality in place, line management
culture.

and Line management” on 15 March 2012
Our first lean meeting was done on 19 Mart 2012. Meetings
are be done every day at 08:30 o’clock. Firstly team leaders,
logistic, quality, maintenance responsible are join on the
meetings and by one by every subject is discussed. Actions
are recorded on the Üret and Quality boards and everyday
actions are review and closed.
Our target is to go forward together with these applications.
After these studies we made meeting with especially team

Mr. Murat Orhan & Ms. Ayflegül Orhan, Ormetal Management

WHAT IS A3?
It is standard A3 dimension (29,7 x 42cm). In 1960’s at Toyota;
it is used for problem solving method. But today, it can be used
standard format for problem solving, preparing of contract,
planning & reviewing at each department, each processes &
levels in Toyota. Importance is mentality & how processing, not
format of the page. It explains history that has understood
anybody, shows proposals of prepared department or person,
effects a reconciliation & decision.
A3 studies kind of a guidelines and then very important for
Ormetal team. For this reason; Ormetal & Orhan Holding Top
Management give full weight to A3 studies & presented to
employees. Ormetal Management are planning their actions
according to A3 & will follow-up its improvement. We believe
that 2012 would be more successful & productive year for

Ones who have the chance of visiting our company are always stating their
satisfaction. in spite of this, we get nervous before each visit. But the visit,
supposed to be had this time, was a little different than the others. it was the
first for us to have the visit of the senior of lean thought: James Womack.
S›la Teknik was offered to him as one of the companies carrying “lean
thought” effectively and his visit targets to investigate our appliance and
actions in the company. We were nervous about this visit and the result of it.
There were theory of probabilities in our mind such as we wouldn’t be
approved by the senior! Or we would have his negative thoughts about our
company. If it happened, it would mean a great failure for us At the end of his
visit, we were looking forward to having his thoughts about us. The result?
The letter which was sent from Mr. Yalç›n ‹pbüken was subject to the result
that we were expecting to have.

Sünnet Lake
Our Christmas Party
We were together for a new trip, beautiful scenes are
accompanying. On our way, we had a break for a breakfast.
The way, we are using, was allowing us to get through Göynük.
Hence we had the chance to see Göynük which is a nice
district with its old houses, looking like the ones in Safranbolu.
Because we faced with snow on our way, we had the difficulty
to reach the area, where our hotel was, but finally we achieved
to be at Hotel. After landing at Hotel, we went out for a lake
tour. After walking around for hours and getting fresh air, we
had our lunch together and we got rest, later we enjoyed our
times by playing a few games at pleasure house of the hotel.
Until dinner time, we were able to get rest a little more and
also walked more. We were about to have our dinner, the
music started accompanying at 20:00. There was a singer at
the stage, named Fatih whom I later learnt his being a
teacher. He was with us until 04:00 with his different type pf
musics
in the morning we were on our way to Abant. We were stopped
in Mudurnu for a break and hence we had a small tour to see
around in Mudurnu. Abant was having more snow than Sünnet
lake area. We reached the hill after overcoming the snow
covered roads and then we saw Abant lake down. Here was
frozen and this allowed us to walk on the ice. We were warned
due to this later. On the other hand our barbecue was ready to
be eaten. Because the weather was getting colder, we ate our
dinner quickly and got on the bus. At that time it just started
snowing. After a relaxing travel, we reached Bursa. We would
like to thank a lot for the ones contributed on this travel. We
are looking forward to having the new coming tour?
On Friday December 16th, 2011, we have celebrated the arrival
of 2012 in the hall of the Alt›nceylan Pubs in the cultural park.
We have spent a nice night together by eating our meals with a
concert program in the night that our white-collar staff
participated with their partners.

Trainings
EU airline emissions tax
Our trainings are going on at our plants in Dosab and Geçit.
Our trainings are organized mostly for quality issues and
they are very efficient thanks to trainers and participators.
Some of our trainings are:
ISO/TS 16949 Internal auditor training
Risk assesment and risk evaluation training
Forklift and train certificate training
According to Guardian newpspaper article; more than 99% of all
major global airlines have complied with the first step of
Europe's controversial scheme to charge them for their carbon
emissions.The inclusion of aviation in the European Union's
emissions trading system (ETS) from the start of 2012 caused
uproar from airlines in more than 20 countries including the US,
China, Russia and Japan,.Small fines for non-compliance could
be levied now by EU member states and, in the future, airlines
that do not comply could face fines of $128 per tonne of CO2
emitted or be banned from European airports. Under the EU's
cap and trade system, major polluters are given allowances to
emit greenhouse gases. If the company exceeds its allowances,
it has to buy extra permits, but if it cuts its emissions it can sell
the allowances. Over time, the total number of allowances is
scaled back, in order to cut emissions and tackle global
warming, but the ETS currently has a large oversupply of
permits due to over-allocation and the reduction of economic
activity caused by the economic crisis. Initially, most of the
permits are given to the airlines free of charge. The EC
estimates the ETS will cost Chinese airlines less than ?2.5m a
year and Indian airlines ?1m a year, an "insignificant amount",
according to an EC source. The collection of 2011 aviation
emissions data will be used to set a benchmark. Next year, the
EU will distribute allowances equivalent to 97% of the previous
year's emissions, and then 95% for 2013-2020.
School Visit
Necla ORHAN Primary School 8 grade students visited our
company on March 1, 2012. They visited our production plant,
and they are informed about our proces s and production details.
And then, they had lunch in our cafeteria. This visit is planned for
career days.

Teknik Malzeme
New Polivalence System
Yalova University English Management Faculty students
visited Teknik Malzeme that is placed in first 500 industrial
firms list. They researched in our firm for their homework for
management system and applications.
Golden Caps
We supported “golden caps to wheelchair” project that aims
to provide power wheelchairs to disabled, run by Bursa City
Council Disabled Assembly thanks to our colleague Sedat
Ay's suggestion. Power wheelchairs will be purchased by
recycling of plastic caps and they will be delivered to disabled
people in need. As Teknik Malzeme, we collected 10 kg of
caps and participated to this beautiful project.
Our current polyvalence system has been improved and
updated as a result of the feedbacks taken after ASES auditory.
Even our current polyvalence system has got 4 steps as before,
we have implemented practical tests in our new system. All the
aplications are recorded in the new software system.
When there is a new polyvalence entry on the system by
production department, thanks to the new software which is
developed by our IT department, all the necessary tests and
evoluations are done step by step according to the calendar
and being recorded. All practical evoluations are recorded in
the operator's registry.
In addition, all the trainings that the operator already had, are
recorded in the system and the other necessary trainings are
planned by crosschecking with his current situation.
This study is carried on by the help of coordinated work of
people from IT, Quality and Human Resources departments.
Similar software development studies are ongoing also for
Suggestion System, 8D and Modification Management
applications.
Donation
As Teknik Malzeme, we donated 2 Fronius arc welding
machines to Welding training Center founded by Bursa Chamber
of mechanical engineers in Be_evler in order to support their
training and certificated courses in welding and increase
coopearation between industry and chamber of mechanical
engineers.

Our traditional Picnic…
After a long frozen winter, we have organized our traditional
Holding picnic in the farm in Yeniflehir under the hospitality of
Orhan Tarım.
With the attandence of our managaments, general managers,
Holding employees, their families and our guests, we had the
chance to enjoy our day to gether.
We saw that our babies who were not
able to walk in last year's picnic have
grown up this year. They could observe
everything in the Farm. Especially
watching the calves, waving to ducks on
the small lake, picking up cherry from
the trees and walking and playing on
the grass made them and their families
happier.
While our guests were enjoying their
day accompanied by talk, they had the
delicious barbecue.
Wishing that our happiness and
togetherness will continue in next
year's picnic and wishing more
beautiful year than the previous ones…

Innovations Continue!
While Our Company is getting into the year of 2012
actively, the significant change that we have done, is the
one in our insurance program. In today's, insurance
agents and brokers regulates their policies via web
application. Considering the policy records' being
signed into their own programs, it requires creating a
workload. At this point, While our new program is able
to obtain the arranged policies from insurance
companies as xml file format via web sites and transfer
them into their own system, all details of policy are also
been recorded in its system. Due to the Graph-based
control of interface software format, customer and
salesperson are also under our control. Following up
the user logs, we are able to see all changes, done over
the program.

Customer Relationship Management
In today's business world, especially for the sales sector,
customer relations have been accepted as the best known
competitive approach.
Considering Raw material, labor and supply costs , while
competitive is increasing by new entrepreneurs' being
involved in the race of trying to have their piece in the pie,
it should be forcing the administrators and owners of the
firms to be one step ahead in the services.
In Customer Relationship Management, the principal aim
is to determine the needs and desires of the target
audiences and then to emphasize the ones, need to be
considered in the projects by going over the alternative
solutions.
A customer-focused business planning with the highest
level of profitability is at the basis of the customers'
expectations and satisfaction from the firms which they
are working with.
Customer Relationship management completely
describes a customer-focused marketing activity.
Accordingly, the applied surveys, satisfaction and
complaint reports, received from existing customers, are
composing the basis of this activity. The customer, who
receives positive and prompt feedback from companies
sooner, became loyal customer of the Company and with
the encouragement and recommendation of them, the
Company should have more potential customers. That's
why it is having a vital importance for the Companies to
gather datas about
customers such as contact
details according to the
sector they are working for,
their jobs, hobbies, desires
and if possible their
environment as much as
possible. With this way, the
companies which are
capable of getting to know
the customers very closely,
they can find and present
the best products via
promotions, general and
private publicity.
As we are Uray insurance Company, we have
approximately 17,000 customer portfolio and we keep
working to increase existing customer satisfaction for
future's loyal customers. In order to keep healthy
communications among the customers and increase the
quality of conversations, firstly we are updating our
Customer contact lists and as a result of our evaluation
surveys, we carry our quality to the up. We are aiming to
expand our market and keep our today's customer as
loyal customer by increasing the satisfaction of them.

The New Period Begins in Private Pension System
As a result of the changes in 2012 savings promotion
system, accordingly many changes have been also done in
private Pension system as follows;
From now on, anyone, having pension system, will benefit
from tax incentives. In current practice; unemployed,
pensioners and the taxpayer incentives did not use to have
any profits. Some of them can not use the tax advantage
because of the difficulties of the procedure. Anyhow,
regardless of work status anyone, who desires, is able to
take benefit of the advantage of the system, moreover,
without the difficulty of the any procedure.
In this context, the incentive system is also changing. The
ones, who attended to the system, used to deduct the
monthly paid fee from the tax. Recently this application is
no longer applied. instead there will be a state contribution
which is 25%. For example when anyone pay 100, 00 YTL,
the state also pay 25, 00 YTL contribution back in the name
of that person. That %25 state contribution is not unlimited.
The contribution for an entrant should be limited with 25%
of the base wage rate. This will also provide to a participant
maximum 2 thousand 659 YTL tax support.
Three Years Ago Unmanageable
Companies, getting into this system before retirement will
have two separate accounts. One of them is for their
individual monthly contributions, the other is for the state’s
25% contribution.
When the participants want to cancel the system, it will
allow them to get back the contributions, being kept in their
individual account. However, the situation is changing,

• If they desire to cancel
the system without
completing the first three
years, they will not be able
to get the state contribution
in their own account. These
contributions will be sent to
the account of the Ministry
of Finance.
• One will have the right of
having 15.6% at the end of
the third year, 35% at the end of the year and %60 at the
10th year.
There is also one significant step in the change of the
individual retirement system. As you know, the withholding
tax was being deducted from all, (which used to be also the
subject to the courts), while attempting to cancel the
system. With the new arrangement, it has been decided that
this deduction’s only being applied at the earnings.
What Will be Rights of Already Applied Ones
As we declare, the arrangements are supposed to be ready
in the first half year-all of the participants in the system to
be adapted to these changes.
