ALL OF STUDENTS are conditionally approved to the programs taught in TURKISH or
ENGLISH. Letter of school recognition concerning the recognition of the school that you had
attended for the application of graduate education and registration process shall be
requested from the Board of Higher Education and if it is met by refusal, you are to be
disenrolled and your studentship shall be terminated. Accepting this condition it is required
that you should apply personally or by mail with the documents stated below to Student
Affairs Office of Graduate School between January 25-February 2, 2016. Moreover, If the
students who are considered noble do not enroll, substitute students are to be contacted
again and required that you should apply personally or by mail with the documents stated
below to Student Affairs Office of Graduate School between February 3, 2016.
For the students are approved to the programs taught in TURKISH, Turkish proficiency
exam shall be held at the Faculty of Architecture, 204 – 205 Rooms, on February 5, 2016 at
13:30 by the Niğde University Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center
(NÜTÖMER) for those who are not graduated from universities in Turkey and do not have
Turkish competence certificate from Turkish Teaching Center (TÖMER) in accordance with
the Article 6-(5) of Directive on Niğde University Admission of Foreign Students to Graduate
Programs.
For the students are approved to the programs taught in ENGLISH, English Language
Preparatory program is mandatory. The student who has to attend the preparatory foreign
language courses may begin their education through being exempt from preparatory foreign
language programme:
i) The student should be successful at the proficiency exam held by the School of
Foreign Languages at the beginning of the academic year on a date previously stated in the
academic calendar of preparatory foreign language pragramme,
ii) The student should evidence that s/he has got minimum 60 points from KPDS or
ÜDS, 183 points from TOEFL-CBT or its equivalence from TOEFL-PBT or TOEFL-IBT, 5.5
points from IELTS or C Level from FCE, all points to be acquired from the exams held within
the last three years,
iii) Provided that Executive Board of the School of Foreign Languages decides in
favour of his/her exemption, the student should have attended the preparatory programme of
another university and successfully completed the preparatory programme education within
the last three years at a level set forth by the University,
iv) Provided that Executive Board of School of Foreign Languages decides in favour
of his/her exemption, the student should have been successful at foreign language
proficiency exam for preparatory class held by another university where the student was
previously registered within the last three years at a level set forth by the University,
v) The student should evidence that s/he completed his/her secondary education at
an institution of a natively English speaking country, to which the citizens of the country also
attend,
vi) The student should graduate from a programme of a university where the
education is carried out in English, either at home or abroad
The students who want to be exempt from preparatory foreign language programme should
submit the original or University-certified copies of the documents that shall be regarded as
an equivalent document for exemption along with a petition to the Directorate of School of
Foreign Languages at least one week before the date of proficiency exam (on September 28,
2015 at 09:30). The exemption of the students who have applied shall be decided by the
Executive Board of School of Foreign Languages.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION
a) Diploma or graduation certificate (original) and its Turkish translated version certified
by the Turkish Consulate or the Unit representing the Republic of Turkey
b) Transcript (original)
c) Copy of passport certified by the Turkish Consulate or the Unit representing the
Republic of Turkey
d) Residence permission for educational purposes (This document is going to be given to
the Graduate School after final registration)
e) 6 photographs
f) Document received from TÖMER showing your competency in Turkish “level A” (if
exist)
g) "Diploma equivalency certificate" received from the Republic of Turkey Board of Higher
Education Accreditation Unit for the students specified in their letter of acceptance. If
this document is not delivered to the Institute until the end of course period, you are to
be disenrolled and your studentship shall be terminated.
h) Tuition payment document.*
