S-FIELD TEST:
The contracted company must provide a sample field demonstration for acceptance
according with the following:
1- The alignment must not deviate from the muzzle boresight alignment more than
±0.3mR in both azimuth and elevation over the full elevating arc of the barrel.
2- Checks may be conducted in daylight using a sight aperture neutral density filter
fitted to the sight. The day sight should be used as a reference to check for
barrel-bend and any deviations between the day sight and the muzzle boresight
should be taken into consideration when assessing test result.
3- Check that the sight is aligned to the muzzle boresight in azimuth and elevation
and adjust as necessary. The alignment remains correct ±0.3mR in azimuth
and elevation after the vehicle has undergone a 10 km drive over rough terrain.
4- Fire one round H.C ammunition with barrel horizontaL.
5- Fire three further round of H.C ammunition (one on max. elevation and two on
min. elevation) while the barrel is still warm and re-checks boresight alignment
before and after each round is fired. The alignment between the sight and the
muzzle boresight must not deviate by more than ±0.3mR in azimuth and
elevation for each round fired.
6- If the overall deviation from start to finish exceeds ±0.3mR in either azimuth or
elevation then the sample is doubled and the test repeated.
7-General condition:
The quotation should include the following:
a- Full technical and tactical specifications for the sight and image intensifier tube.
b- Delivery timetable.
8- TRAINING
Recommended training offered by the supplier must cover the details ofsupported
equipment and depot level maintenance.
9- Inspection:
(2) Inspectors to inspect and ascertain supplier's Quality conformance Inspection in the
Company According to the military standard.
