The TED Bursa College Board Chairman mentioned in his opening speech that he felt great happiness to see the school teachers together with their families at a meaningful and nice event and gratulated all of them on the special day. 10th Year Plaques were given to those who had completed their tenth year at the TED Bursa College; our Primary Education Principal Necati Çakır, Arts Head of Department Esen Tekin, Form Room Teacher Zehra Değirmenci, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge Teacher Abdullah Pekyakın, IT Specialist Rafet Haşal and Security Staff Gökhan Kaya. 5th Year Plaques were given to Form Room Teacher Aymer Zülfikar, Philosophy Teacher Ayşe Mine Karaman, Swimming Coach Ayşenur Tavukçuoğlu, Kindergarten Teacher Çağla Akman, Literature Teacher Nevin Öner Koç, Psychological Counseling and Guidance Specialist Özge Gülmeriç, Accounting Personnel Emine Özdemir, Photocopy Specialist Canbey Duran and Security Staff Mehmet Ali Karpuz. At the end of the night performances by QuarTED and the school teachers’ choir was highly enjoyed. Check and Mate
The chess tournaments now a traditional event at our school, took place between November 10th – November 21st this year with a keen participation from students. Grade 3 and 4 contested separately from middle school students and the whole tournament was scene to great rivalry. 2
TED BURSA KOLEJİ ‐ WEEKLY PARENT BULLETIN 2014/2015 ‐ NO:11 A total of 56 students participated in 10 separate matches where grade 3 studen Mehmet Umut Ata won all of his matches and became first in his category. Atacan Tuhan from middle school won all 5 of his matches and was granted first place in his category. Zehra Su USLU A Big Support From Our School to the Red Crescent Blood Donation Campaign The blood donation campaign which is held annually with the joint cooperation of the Red Crescent Blood Donation Centre and our school was actualised this year on Tuesday 25th November at our school. The Red Crescent Blood Donation Centre is the only official organisation at which blood can be donated to in Bursa, so is highly dependent on support from our community. We would like to thank all the support we have received from parents to this campaign which emphasises to students the importance of aiding our community and blood donation. 3

2 In scope of the 1st Division Young Girls Volleyball Competitions, our Young Girls Volleyball B Team won against Şahinkaya College with a 3‐0 score at the last match held at the Çekirge Sports Hall on 27.11.2014, thus coming 2nd place in Bursa. We congratulate our students and their coaches and wish them continued success. 4
